If you judge the trip worth additional 36 km driving from the highway (25 minutes one way if you accept the speed limits) is an individual decision. You see a dam and the build-up water what is not very surprising. The landscape incorporating some rocks looks not bad, but you are not allowed to swim. 30 Minutes for watching everything... More

This place offers some good views. Being located on relatively higher ground, it allows visitors to look pretty far out, and parts of that scenery are photo-worthy. The environment is peaceful, and is a good place to spend a relaxing afternoon with the family. There is quite abit of greenery, and plenty of open space for the kids to run... More

Need a car to visit this place located about 1.5 Hrs drive from Muscat. Good spot for a winter picnic or evening sunset view picnic in summer. You can walk on the dam and take pictures. View of the village below with lot of palm trees.

We happened to go to this place along with few other neary visiting places and found this dam has a surprising aspect. There is a walkway to the top and we are allowed for pics there. On one side, we can have a full view of the water storage and on the other, we can have the water released from... More

The views from the dam are quite nice. The park at the dam site is well maintained and there is a small cafeteria. There is of course nothing much to do other than take in the views. Worth a visit.

The site is a little over an hour from Muscat and the drive is scenic and pleasant. It great to see the dam that has been built and the water on the other side is blue and has been collected from the mountains. Not sure if it’s a natural spring or rain water collected behind the dam walls. It is... More
