Carlos picked us up from our hotel and we drove out of Beirut and headed up onto the road to Damascus - just saying it gives you a thrill and actually doing it is only better! He took us initially to a small 'garage' type wine maker who was totally charming and very informative. He was extremely enthusiastic and proud of his wines which tasted fantastic. Neither of us are wine experts but Carlos has incredible experience and knowledge of all that is Lebanon and wine and talked us through the processes and differences which enlightened the whole tasting experience.
We then continued our drive through the bekaa valley which is incredibly beautiful. To be honest, due to its historical background one felt almost humbled to be a part of it. It's staggeringly impressive with timeless vineyards squeezed between villages climbing up the valley sides surrounded by flowering fruit trees until you reach the snow topped mountains.
Our second vineyard was much bigger in comparative to the previous one and we were met by the owner who gracefully showed us around telling us the history of his family business which was truly inspiring. He then sat down with us to taste his wines and we were offered an amazing lunch. We felt we were in heaven as we ate wonderful food overlooking his vines, the valley and the snow tips either side with a beautiful blue sky overhead. For this family to have somehow created this haven through incredible diversify is incredible. The wine somehow mirrored its owners efforts and enthusiasm and tasted unbelievable.
Carlos is a knowledgeable friendly experienced professional who shares his knowledge with great gusto and you can only possibly come away with a marvellous buzz. I can only say that we would recommend this trip to anyone who has a day free in Beirut - the people are so friendly and proud of their wonderful country one feels privileged to have a glimpse into their way of life.

We had a very educating day about wine and everything related to it. History, process, biology, chemistry even mithology. The snow covered peaks added beauty to a fund and interesting day. Thank you Carlos!

We arranged a private wine tour up the Bekka Valley and had a fantastic day. We went to 3 wineries, starting off with Marwan and his Mass Helios wines described as a garage winery. And that's just what it was! What a nice man and fab wines. We tasted 2 fab reds and then a rose made 100% of San Ghiovese (spelling) which was superb! Then onto chateau Khorry, a bigger winery where we tasted the full range of their wines and had an excellent lunch wth the nicest chicken I ve had for a long time. And the views were to die for The last was Ksara which was huge in comparison but still very interesting
We were shown round by a charming young man Joe who was obviously passionate about his wines and his country. We will do another tour next time we are in Beirut. I can highly reccomend this tour

We were charged 325 US dollars for 2 people - 3 wineries. And a lunch.
But it did not work out as I expected. I found the website and read reviews that talked about a more personalised 1:1 wine experience. This was quite exciting as I wanted to bring my mum to Lebanon to experience the great wines. Our driver was friendly but the service was not to a high enough standard. We were promised a 4x4 and we were in small car. My mum is older so I wanted her to feel safe and be in comfort. We only managed 2 wineries as something went wrong. I know these things do Happen but would expect the person taking the tour to know the roads and the areas we were visiting. Safety is important. I am really disappointed as I wanted this to be amazing. I have been on a bus tour previously to these wineries and paid less and the service was so impressive. Anyway sometimes these things happen. I can’t recommend this tour. I would use Viator app to book your tours. This is what I should have done. All tours on Viator have been amazing.

Since I retuered back to Lebanon, I was lucky to know Club Grappa and be part of many of their wine tours,
Led by a professional Wine expert ( professor ) , Karlos, they run the right tours at the right time to the right wineries.
Tours include an enjoyable program every time, even on repeated tour destinations!

After this tour, I am not sure that I will ever leave Lebanon. My father and I booked this tour blindly, hoping that it would be good. Good is an understatement. It was superb. Carlos is wonderfully knowledgeable about his craft. My father and I had little experience in wine-tasting, but Carlos was patient willing to teach us. The wineries he took us to were just as wonderful as he was, but particularly the first two on our tour--Le Noble and Chateau Nakad. The owners of the establishments met us, walked us through their process for making their products and sat down to taste with us. Their passion for making wine and spirits was evident and contagious. My father and I are now the proud owners of three bottles (and had good packing judgement not been employed it would have been more than that!). We HIGHLY recommend this day tour.

There are over 40 wineries in Lebanon, choosing which to visit can be quite a challenge - especially if you are on a short trip.
This was the predicament my girlfriend and I found ourselves in, fortunately I came across Club Grappe Wines Tours through their Facebook page. From the outset, Carlos the owner and wine expert was very professional and organising a private day tour was very easy.
He picked us up from our hotel at around 10am and although the traffic getting out of Beirut was bad, it was a good chance to get to know Carlos and to learn about some of the heritage and history of wine making in Lebanon.
We visited 3 wineries, two of which I would class as boutique (there were Domaine Des Tourelles and Château Khoury) and the other a commercial winery (Château Ksara)
We tried some excellent wines and my luggage was significantly heavier, it's worth also noting that you will stop for lunch & wine at an eco-lodge , hands down some of the nicest Lebanese food I've tried in recent years - also soaks up the wine!
All in all it was well worth the $270 we paid, Carlos even gave us a bottle to enjoy at home
If you want to tour the wineries of Bekaa Valley then this is the ONLY way to do it in my opinion.

Waw..what a day ,we were transferred to another world . Carlo's knowledge of the three wineries was very evident and his friendships with all the owners of the wineries, made our trip all the more intimate and casual. The ride was comfortable and the driver was helpful with all the boxes of purchases afterwards. The stops on the way were well thought out. All in all a lovely wine tour day. New memories & experiences were made .thank you Carlos for your time and energy

We enjoyed our tour and the day visiting 2 wineries in the West bekaa (chateau Qanafar and Chateau Kefraya) and 1 winery in Jdita (Mas Helios). Carlos Khachan, our Wine expert sommelier guide, was conversational, unflappable, and an accomplished driver as well as an experienced tour guide. He shared lots of interesting factoids tips and hints along the way in addition to providing info about wine delicatessen and Lebanese food, the wineries, and the region. We enjoyed his company as well as the traditional lebanese luncj near the lack (karaown) and recommend that future customers ask for him founder of Club Grappe.
Cant wait coming back more often from Dubai to leboland visiting the northern wineries of lebanon located in Batroun ;)
