It is the modern and international face of the city. I was expecting a more local taste of the souk when i heard the name of the place but it is not. You should expect to see the brands you know from other big cities. Went there both durimg the day and the night. At night it is more crowded.... More

The shops is this place are very nice, good interior and catchy. Some items are expensive in general. Even walking around and window shopping in this place is interesting. Have delicious salad in the supermarket.

A souk traditionally is a market where merchants stand ready to haggle with you over whatever you want, while offering you a beverage. Not here...this is the new Beirut shopping area that has attractive architecture but very few unique stores. Next to the mostly empty Parliament Square shopping area, it is attractive if you want something that you could probably... More

This is a high end commercial enterprise featuring prestige brand names. It was part of our walking tour and worth seeing an architect’s vision of a modern souk. But it is really just a fancy outdoor shopping mall built where the nostalgic original was located. A lot of struggling and failed businesses in this area which gave it an air... More

It is August, after all, so it is a bit crowded (with kids running and screaming all over the place, riding bikes and those evil hover boards). I try to avoid coming here but sometimes, I have to. There is a great bookstore here (Antoine) with a nice little corner for coffee (Grid) and the movie theatre has a good... More

Years back it was one of the best places to stay & spend your time with many different restaurants & coffee shops. Now only little left there. You have little choices. The cloth shops & shoes are plenty with prestigious brands there. Children can spend there Time playing in the playing area next to cinema. Unfortunately they are ruining this... More
