The Beirut Hippodrome is a landmark. Every Sunday, horse races take place. As a location, it's a very beautiful place - It's huge and has a lot of trees (which is becoming rare in Beirut). At the hippodrome, you can have a bite to eat at the restaurant which has a terrace where you can watch the races. The restaurant... More

This was awesome to see, even if you are driving by in a cab. Completely exposed, no interpretation, I suggest visiting and then going home to research.

We enjoyed the Beirut Hippodrome last Sunday ... a great sunny Sunday at the beginning of December. Horse racing took place already since around 13h30, we arrived a bit later but in time for the second or third race. Usually am not so fun with horses or anything related to including Hippodrome . . but this one (Beirut Hippodrome) is so different . . I really like it it is more like a park that you can spend the time there wondering and enjoying looking to even you you was like (zero interest in horses)

Nice place if you want to see some races but nothing fancy about it. Just like any other Hippodrome.

I think that this was a nice and entertaining place that lost much after the war. I was at exhibition and market there, and I enjoyed it.
