Free to enter, Free beverages, water and snacks, Free interesting tour
This was the first attraction I visited in Kuwait City. No entrance fee, was provided coffee, dates, cookies and box drink before the tour. I was asked to wear their beige abaya while inside the mosque and take off my shoes. Our guide speaks perfect english, explained the brief history of the mosque, sources of materials used to built it, prayer process inside this mosque, etc. She also showed the special room reserved exclusively for the use of the King. Highly recommended to visit this mosque!

    A beautiful, holy building
A glorious building! The main room is spectacular in size and beautiful to behold. There was a good explanation about what goes on during a service and what each part of the room was for. I did feel that the tour guide had a bit of a chip on her shoulder as she explained Muslim dress codes. After the tour there was tea, water and juice available as well as some free souvenirs. I definitely recommend visiting!

    Very Good Tour
We took an English language tour of this mosque. The 30-minute tour was very informative and the guide was excellent. The mosque is also quite impressive. We had our hotel call to confirm the schedule for the tours as the hours vary. Note that you enter the mosque at gate 7. (Our Careem driver dropped us off about 10 minutes from the entrance.) Highly recommended.

Very pleasant and instructive visit. Pleasant because there was only me as a vacationer throughout the mosque and instructive because a young Guide, well prepared and with excellent English, thank you Laila!, accompanied me along the way. I arrived in the morning. The whole thing lasted an hour. You have to be careful with the timetable because the mosque has since closed. I was told it would reopen in the afternoon. The large part that houses the 10,000 people was closed for work, it has already been closed for 3 months. I was able to visit the area dedicated to women after attending a brief presentation in the auditorium. You enter after dressing, offer water and dates before and after the visit.

We spent almost 1 hour admiring the architectural beauty inside the mosque. The guide Bro.Abdul Aziz was friendly n informative. We could see the copy of old Qur'anic manuscript, Asma-ul husna inside the dome and the Islamic arts and calligraphy. Totally an amazing experience

My husband visited the Grand Mosque in Kuwait a day before I did and had an amazing experience, especially with his guide, Sumaiah. He was so impressed that he arranged for me and my sister to visit the next day, and we were fortunate to have Sumaiah as our guide as well. She gave us a personal tour, and her knowledge about the mosque’s history and significance added so much to the experience.

The mosque’s architecture is absolutely breathtaking, with intricate Islamic designs, beautiful calligraphy, and stunning domes that reflect traditional Kuwaiti culture. The peaceful and serene atmosphere inside creates a sense of calm and reflection. The rest of the staff were also very welcoming and respectful.

Whether you're interested in architecture, history, or simply seeking a tranquil place for reflection, the Grand Mosque is a must-visit in Kuwait. Highly recommended!

Suggest to get off at Gate 4 for vistor entrance.
We got there before 10am on a Sunday and was offered free Arabic coffee with dates, juices, bottled water and abaya including a hood. The English guided tour was informative and we were allowed to take our time in taking photos and admire inside. Would say only require an hour max in total.

The mosque had to be visited on a guided tour (free of charge). They were available Sunday to Thursday every 30 minutes from 9 AM to 11:30 AM and 4 PM to 6:30 PM. The tour lasted slightly over 30 minutes. We had a great guide taking us through the mosque.

Completed in 1986 this huge mosque in the center of Kuwait is testament to the wealth of the emerging oil state. The prayer hall for men can provide space for 10,000 worshippers, while the adjacent hall for women has room for just under a thousand! Hence there is ample space for cars.

I visited during Ramadan when the complex was closed for foreigners.

The tour guide Suliman Al Souri was so friendly and gave us a beautiful tour of the mosque. We spent a few minutes in a little room with cold water and free educational literature/videos. The architecture, carpets, tile, woodwork was exquisite. It was neat to learn more about the Koran, prayers, and beliefs.
