About
Kuwait Towers have stood as the undisputed national symbol and one of the most recognizable landmarks in Kuwait. Today, the Towers have become an integral element of the Kuwait City skyline, occupying a focal position on the Sea Front along the Arabian Gulf Road. Known to residents fondly as “Al Abraj” (simply the Towers), they are a must-visit destination for residents and tourists. The Towers main features include two restaurants, the viewing sphere perched at 123 meters above sea level.

- ChrisThomasTravelsManama, Bahrain731 contributionsMost Recognizable Landmark in KuwaitEverything in Kuwait is expensive, even compared to the surrounding gulf region. It's understandable, considering Kuwait's currency is the world's strongest. The Kuwait Towers are no exception. Pricey admission tickets allow you passage up to one of the observation domes for a view of Kuwait city. The views are interesting, if not all that clear (the domes are quite tinted.) The towers are a must see, as they are quite possibly the only recognizable landmark in Kuwait.Visited February 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 18, 2023

The tallest tower is 187m. Built in 1979 they meanwhile could be called historic structures and look less impressive than the modern skyscrapers encircling them from the landside. Still functional as water towers ensuring pressure in the water pipes of Kuwait city, they are also exploited as a tourist attraction. Must see iconic attraction in Kuwait. Disappointed that DSLR camera is not allowed due to concerns about photos of government buildings being taken.
Mobile phone cameras have improved vastly with 48MP on iPhone 14. Anyone determined can take photos but still cannot beat DSLR. I do believe this policy needs reviewing.
Limited visibility through the glass panes as they do require a clean to provide clear views. Rotating platform enabling 360 view of the beach as well as city.

Kuwait Tower is a popular landmark in Kuwait City, known for its stunning views of the city and the Persian Gulf. The tower features an observation deck and a rotating restaurant, offering visitors a unique dining experience. The tower is well-designed and its sleek, modern architecture makes it a standout feature on the city's skyline. Visitors to the tower can take in panoramic views of the city, including the nearby Kuwait Bay, while enjoying a meal or simply relaxing on the observation deck. Overall, the Kuwait Tower is a must-visit destination for anyone visiting Kuwait City and is highly recommended for those looking for a unique and memorable experience.

Kind of must see, but getting inside is a pain. On security check they took my waterbottle of me and my camera. I would not go again to pay an fee of 3kd at a tourist destination and then you are not allowed to take your little compact camera

I was visiting friends who had never actually gone up in the towers themselves and I asked if we could. The night we went, we were the only ones there and the views of the skyline were incredible. Definitely worth 3 KD to go to the observation deck.

This might be Kuwait's only real tourist attraction. The revolving viewing platform is ok for 3 KWD. You can get something to eat and drink and watch as you revolve around the tower. Almost impossible to walk here due to road works and the roads themselves.

They are not worth a trip but if you are already in Kuwait city they are worth seeing. Maybe better in the evening when they are illuminated. You can climb the tower where there is also a restaurant. Visit time , if you do not climb, 10min right X take 2 photos

Compared to many other buildings in this country, these are small. And certainly not the highlight of the country. The highlight isn't even listed here, probably you need to make an appointment to visit it: The Arab Fund Building. Sublime!

Having necessarily half a day available while waiting for a connecting flight to another destination, I decided to see the Towers, representative of Kuwait City. In short, they certainly don't deserve a trip, but being in the city they must be seen. The restaurant is also normal with acceptable prices considering the city.

Hello, what are the Kuwait Towers opening hours during Ramadan? Are they even open during that time? (I will be in Kuwait in April of 2023, which coincides with the tail end of Ramadan). Thank you.
Written December 22, 2022
No idea, we live in UK. We were there 3 weeks ago and was open then. You need to call them . Thanks

9 00 pm but I think the restaurant is open later till 11 30 for dinner.

Are the towers open regular hours during Ramadan? Are they any different on a Friday in Ramadan? I'm assuming the restaurants will be closed during the day though?
Written June 22, 2016
Ramadan timings have to be checked currently as timings may have changed. As for the entrance ticket price, it's KD 3 per person but the ticket for kids between 4 and 9 years is KD 1.5 and kids below that age can enter for free.
The Viewing Sphere opens from 9 am till 11:30 in the evening. its best to go on bright sunny days to get good view of city
In case you are going to the restaurant inside the towers, no need to buy tickets and you can also park your car inside since the parking is only for the restaurant guests.
