Shermin was a godsend to us when my boyfriend and I decided to plan a 2-week trip to Iran. As Americans, information is scarce and spread out, but we had seen good things about Lilon Travel. Shermin was instrumental not only in helping us plan our trip but also in providing all the information needed to make sure we were culturally sensitive and well-educated. She provided lists of what to wear, how to change money, and more. After a slight snafu with the airlines changing our flights one month before the trip, she personally set up a Skype call to talk through options and ensured we were taken care of the whole time. Once there, the travel was seamless. We visited Tehran, Persepolis, Isfahan, Kashan, and more, stayed with nomads in the mountains, and rode camels in the desert. We chose the 2-3 star accommodations (out of 5), but several were as beautiful and comfortable as 5 star resorts we've stayed at. It was the perfect blend of experience and relaxation, and we would highly recommend Shermin to any Americans (or anyone else!) who wants a full blast Iran tour.

My family (my wife and 3 daughters) and I decided to have our family trip to Iran as we wanted to explore the majestic country that we read about. We chose to travel during the winter as the kids would love to experience a colder weather compared to Dubai where we live. The reason for us choosing Lilon Travel was reading all the previous good reviews on the company. We were not dissapointed at all. Ms Shermin was attentive to our enquiry and needs to our travel. She provided us with 2 itineraries to choose from for our 6 days 5 night trip. We decided to take the Tehran-Kashan-Esfahan-Tehran route. Our tour guide Mr Hassan was an excellent travel companion. He spoke very good English and was very attentive to our needs. I would certainly speak that it was money well spent. Iran is very beautiful and the people are mostly very friendly. Thank you Ms Shermin and Mr Hassan for giving my family and I wonderful memories to cherish.

With a friend I made a trip to Iran, organized by Lilon Travel. Lilon Travel organized the travel itinerary, local guides in each city, local drivers in each city and from city to city, a tour to the desert in Jeeps, camping in the desert during full moon, local traditional Iranian music and a trip to islands in the Persian gulf. We've seen lots of amazing ancient sights, including some rarely visited and rather unknown ones, we've seen lots of amazing landscapes including the desert and Hormuz island, which is looks like you entered the lad trip of a geologist, so diverse, colorful and exotic it looks. All this was executed perfectly by Lilon Travel: We had amazing accommodation, from boutique hotels in Kashan, alternative guest houses in an oasis or at Qeshm island, a mindblowing camping experience under full moon in the desert, where jeeps, tents, sleeping bags, food and water was provided. We enjoyed an excellent selection of less visited or almost unvisited sights (we booked an alternative tour, that skipped the main sights of Iran) .. From ancient mud fortresses to Zoroastrian temples, from mosques to ancient water cisterns, from dove houses to aristocratic palaces. We were provided with very charming and knowledgable local guides, that spoke excellent English. We enjoyed very charming company (drivers, cooks, organizers, guides, other guests) at our desert tour, which was an important factor for how delightful that trip was, as the camping makes you spend a lot of time with these people. We enjoyed adventurous trips to mountains and beaches of Persian gulf islands, that were well chosen and well organized. We even had the luck to be accompanied on a part of our trip by Shermin, the owner of Lilon Travel, which was tremendously insightful into everything Iranian. We enjoyed the very well chosen timing of our trip, as it made it possible to see several stages of the ashura festivities in several cities, which showed a lot about the different local traditions and the changing of atmosphere from before ashura, over the different days during the festivities (more precise: mourning related activities, I can't find a better wording than festivities, though it's not meant to be 'happy') until during the mourning days after the festivities .. All in all it was a once in a lifetime opportunity .. A once in a lifetime trip. We are very happy and thankful to Lilon Travel for the wonderful experience (which included adapting the trip to our interests)

Shermin organized a lovely 4 night trip for me in October, taking in Tehran and Kashan. The hotels selected were great, the recommendations for restaurants and attractions were spot on. Great local guide. She did a great job.

Lilon travel offers you a hand made trip organisation with stays at charming places, in old caravansérails, and nice drivers. Very professionnal handling, and a follow-up throughout the trip through a local mobile phone and a local correspondent.
