This house was known as the most expensive house of Iran. You will love this place as soon as you enter it and see the garden.
It was opened in the 2009 and not many people know this place, not even locals.
There are different rooms with different artistic things in them.
This house is not far from National museum and I highly recommend it.
Unfortunately you can not find enough information on the net about this place and that is why tourists are not aware of its presence.

It was the first time that i saw it . I think it is the best in their kinds .I enjoyed from visiting different places and paintings of the house .Moghadam used all of his effort and his heart to collecting this collection . for example the special fireplace of queen castle that was protected by him .I think Moghadam's heart go along with the house .

Just impossible to imagine such a beautiful house from the street, moreover very well maintained, and at a very reasonable price (30K IRR = 1 USD).

Mohsen Moghadam clearly had taste for beautiful things, and this place is full of new senses for interior designers.
The archeologist bequeathed it to the university of Tehran, which opened it to the public in 2009.

It is most interesting that an individual arranged this beautiful Qadjar house with style, and not the rich and powerful.

A must see.

Explanations in english are quite complete, and you'll spend hours if you read them all.

Photos of the inner garden will be better in winter when trees have no leaves ...

Please spend some time at this museum and then take a walk on the neighboring streets and alleys ....you'll love it!

Also take a close look at the paintings and miniature works where some "nudity" have been censored, and some nipples missed....i'm told there is a room in the basement where there are many tiles with nudity depicted on them...so much so that it was easier to lock it up than disfigure those beauties...

A good gathering of architecture and history which every part of this house narrates the lost piece of history.
