We are a group of friends from Vietnam, visiting Iran on a 10-day private classic tour covering Shiraz, Yazd, Isfahan, Kashan and Tehran. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the trip. Absolutely stunning architecture, steeped culture, glorious history, and overwhelmingly friendly people - all in all, it's an amazing country. We wish we could stay longer. And we already decided to come back next year for a second visit!
SURFIRAN is a very professional travel agency that we have no hesitation to recommend. They respond to our inquiry very quickly, they advise us on the itinerary. They provide us with all the information we need. Our local guide Rasoul Jalalodini is very knowledgeable and caring. Thank you SURFIRAN and Rasoul for making our trip the most memorable experience we've ever had.

Wonderful trip. Great, well thought out itinerary and Kourosh was a brilliant guide - knowledgeable, funny, passionate about his country and his job and keen to make sure our days were full of great experiences. Surfiran were well organised, responsive, kept in touch and tweaked the itinerary where necessary providing a smooth, hassle-free experience.

My trip to Iran in May 2024 was something of a revelation to me. I had not visited the country before, and at the time my friends were universally shocked about my decision to go. ‘It’s a war zone / it’s a disaster zone / it’s dangerous / I wouldn’t go there’ – these were just a few of the comments I heard.
Yet I’m glad I persevered with the trip. Obtaining the visa was difficult and expensive, and the financial obstacles considerable. But the reward was the surprise I experienced on encountering a people almost universally warm and welcoming throughout my stay. I think the staff at Surfiran, as well as our professional guides Kourosh and Yasna went above and beyond the call of duty in helping me negotiate the various pitfalls of travel in such a different country.
I found Iranian customs and culture to be endlessly fascinating, no doubt due to their inheritance from a country as ancient as Persia. I also liked how courteous so many Iranians are in daily life, even day to day in the street. Most of all I liked the repeated ‘Welcome, welcome’ we heard throughout our trip, and the fascination our small group seemed to hold for ordinary Iranians.
In fact one of our tour group, who was actually American, could not be left alone outside for more than 10 minutes without acquiring a group of giggling schoolchildren, all eager to practice their English on him. He commented later, ‘Now I know what it’s like to travel like a rock-star!’
So thank you to Surfiran and to our guides for making our visit to Iran such a special and enjoyable experience. I hope to return.

I am a compulsive tour planner. Surfiran worked with me patiently and helpfully as we finalised a 17 day customised itinerary for our group (2 couples).
The logistics of our tour, right from obtaining our visas to leaving at the end of our tour, were faultless.
I've been lucky enough to have traveled a lot and experienced a lot of good guides. Our tour guide (Mehdi Ali) was the best I've ever had. He was very knowledgeable about the historic sights but also good restaurants (up market and casual), street food and cafes. He also read our levels of interest and tiredness well and paced the tour accordingly. He has perfect English and a great sense of humor. We were in Iran when the protests were on, Mehdi used his extensive network of contacts to keep current with the situation and keep us away from problem areas.
Ask for Mehdi!!
Our driver Masoud was also very safe, friendly and considerate.
Just a couple of tips: stay in the Kasian traditional hotel in Kashan, it's beautiful and do the meal / cooking lesson with the Iranian family in Shiraz - it's a lot of fun and a nice way to learn about Iranian food.
I very highly recommend Surfiran.

Wonderful time in Iran. SURFIRAN was a very professional and well run company that had anticipated our needs, planned our trip to be complete, educating and fun. Our guide was so organized and efficient, it was a real pleasure. I can't say enough good things about our guide and the company. I am returning back to Iran in a few months because it was so great! I will be travelling with SURFIRAN and the same guide as before. I can't wait!!

Surfiran has been organising my visits and meetings in Iran since 2017. Last November I went back to Iran and they worked out all that was needed for me to join an expedition to the desert. Thanks to their professional organisation and quick and clear communication everything went very well. Thanks to Surfiran I have met such wonderful people that helped me out, showed me around and made me feel so welcome. I highly recommend Surfiran.

Iran was an unexpected delight. The nine day tour which Surfiran arranged was excellent value and very well thought out, taking in Yazd, Isfahan, Tehra, Shiraz and many places in between. Our guide was excellent and the SurfIran team were always on hand to answer questions. The accomodation and food were of a very decent stadard and in western terms, the country is astonishing value for money. Its also important to note how safe I felt, all the time. Everyone I met was kind, helpful and eager to talk about their country and my experience of it. I will be back.

Iran is an amazing country and so glad that I went for it!
Stunning architectures, rich history, friendly & helpful people. Surprisingly, very safe too.
Before signing up for the 9 days tour, I had contacted Saye and made tons of queries. She responded promptly and addressed all my queries in detail. Saye is very friendly and customer focused.
Our guide is Mehdi Ali Bakhshi and he is superb! Mehdi is knowledgable, flexible and took good care of us during the trip. Despite being a guide for >10 years, you can still feel his passion whenever he explains the history of the sites/monuments/exhibits etc. I had enjoyed listening to his detailed explanation especially on the reliefs at Persepolis. For lunch & dinner, Mehdi brought us to unique & authentic places to try various Persian cuisines. Not forgetting Mehdi is a great photographer… he has flair for composing amazing shots.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the trip and will always have fond memories of my first Iran holiday. Will come back to visit other parts of Iran and will certainly engage Surfiran and of course request Mehdi as my guide.

I have really enjoyed exploring and learning about Iran during my 8 day trip. I definitely recommend SurfIran as a tour company and they made a great itinerary for me. My guide, Mr. Hossein Pourmorour has been a great guide throughout my trip and I definitely recommend him as a guide as well. He is very knowledgeable about all the historical sites and knows a lot about Iran. He showed me very good restaurants for each meal we ate. He is very friendly and helpful throughout my tour. Whoever is reading this, I recommend they book a tour with SurfIran because I am very happy I did.

Saye (our ground agent) was very patient in answering all our questions (and we had a lot!). She was flexible in adjusting the itinerary to fit our requirements.
Our guide was Mehdi, possibly the best guide we’ve even had in all of our travels. A history buff, he captivated us with stories of the past. He was very attentive to what we needed, ensuring we ate well, spent more time at places which intrigued us. He received us at the airport when we arrived and saw us off when we left.

The tour starts from Tehran and finishes in Tehran. It is a short trip that has both sightseeing and nature explorations. There, you will see lizards, the Goitered gazelle, the Pallas’s cat, the Persian ground jay, Houbara, the Persian zebra etc.
