- Cormac McCaugheyNorthampton, United Kingdom270 contributionsF1 visitGood facility for the F1. The Beyon stand had some great views of the track - sitting to the left A or B is probably a better view. Catering facilities were good, toilets were clean, seats gave all the spectators a comfortable view. Getting in and out of the circuit can be problematic - arriving early and leaving a little later advised.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 2, 2024
- Adam FWhyteleafe, United Kingdom45 contributionsOne of the best F1 circuits I’ve been toHere for the F1 in 2024 and on the whole a very good circuit. Food was overpriced as you would expect, no surprise really, but there was a good variety. Facilities at the circuit are very good and clean. Certainly the cleanest toilets at any F1 circuit I’ve been to. Transportation to the circuit was excellent, especially if you’re staying in one of the hotels where the bus starts from. Transportation from the circuit was chaotic to say the least, there needs to be better organisation of what buses go where otherwise you end up here, there and everywhere trying to figure it out.Visited March 2024Traveled soloWritten March 3, 2024
- Abovetheclouds2,224 contributionsMainly closed off if there is nothing going on.If your not going to see the Grand Prix or an event, you can see part of the circuit and an overview from the top. Not much. Unlike some circuits in other countries, you can still go in or maybe do a tour. Here however, most of it is closed off if there is nothing going on. Worth a quick stop though for a few photographs.Visited March 2024Traveled soloWritten March 30, 2024
- shrina p8 contributionsBest circuit tour!Circuit tour was absolutely amazing. 1 hour with a tour guide, showing us all the behind the scenes F1 highlights. We were driven around the track in an AC van. My 15 year old was buzzing after this. Gift shop is lovely. Well pricedVisited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 26, 2024

The go-karting is very fun. It was my first time doing go-kart and I enjoyed the experience!
However, beware their policy that only closed-toe shoes can be worn on the track, which I wasn’t aware of as it was my first time go-karting. When I first made my reservation, I didn’t notice this in the terms and conditions on the fine print of their website, easily missed. I then made a *non-refundable* payment on their website and noticed this as a requirement when they sent the confirmation email after the non-refundable payment was made. Unfortunately I did not have any closed-toed shoes as I am only visiting Bahrain and don’t have closed-toed shoes with me.
When I arrived at the race track, the staff at the reception informed me that no closed-toed shoes were available for rent and I would have to purchase shoes at the very high price of BD 15 (about USD 40), which is even higher than the BD 11 go-karting price (about USD 29). They also refused to refund me if I chose to cancel the session. Perhaps the most disconcerting was the attitude of the receptionist staff - cold, unfriendly, and unsympathetic.
Overall, I had fun go-karting but felt like they were extracting me for money, which really spoiled my experience and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. My suggestions are as follows:
(1) Make closed-toed shoes available for free, or for rent at a small fee. Most other similar high-adrenaline experiences that I have done will offer closed-toed shoes for free if clients do not have them - they recognize that mistakes happen and they want their clients to still have the best experience possible. By contrast, I felt that by providing ONLY an option to purchase BD 15 shoes, and no option for a refund, they were taking advantage of the opportunity to make more money rather than focusing on a positive experience for the client.
(2) Make it very obvious on the website that closed-toed shoes are required. This shouldn’t be fine print tucked away on one of the webpages, but rather in large font on the booking page *before* the customer makes a non-refundable payment. Otherwise it is very easy to miss. If I had known, I might have not booked this experience at all, rather than spend an unexpected BD 15 just to buy shoes I might wear only once and never again.
(3) Reinforce customer service values with the receptionist staff, as I was shocked by how cold, unsympathetic, and unfriendly they were to the situation. This reinforced my perception that they were mostly interested in making money off of me, and not treating me as a customer with whom to build a relationship. I know they’re not responsible for their company’s policies or website, but at minimum showing some sympathy would have been nice, and their lack of empathy made a bad situation even worse.

...and if in March, when the famous F1 race is going on even better. While visiting the place I bought tickets for the coming race. I’m already looking forward! Also during the month of December the place is busy with National Day celebrations.

We went to all 3 days of the 2023 F1 Grand Prix weekend. The facilities at the track are excellent so would fully recommend you making the effort to come in 2024. Only downside is the extortion on taxi fares returning in the evening. Taxis are always supposed to run on meters but this rule seems to have some flexibility. Be prepared to pay BD 30 - 50 to return to Manama…

I recently worked here for almost a week at the F1 pre-season test. Compared to the regular test location in Barcelona this circuit is really nice. Spacious, good facilities and friendly staff.
Media food was free, wifi, lan and power supplies were all available. Bottled water was free in the media centre.
Only downside really is the security checks which feel pretty pointless. Staff insist on putting your bags through an X-ray scanner and if they don’t fit they have a quick look in them. Body scanners went off virtually every time I walked through them and they just waved me through.
The circuit provides shuttle busses but walking around the service roads and the surrounding areas makes getting around various sections of the track pretty easy.

Went to the 2022 F1. Disorganized doesn't even come into it, the queues for everything are ridiculous, food and drink.
Barely any stewards in the stands, this meant that pretty much people were just sitting where they wanted and were standing 3 or 4 deep at the front railings blocking the view for everyone.
Would not go back, also it was $150 each just for a pass to go into the bar for alcohol.

Unless there is an event it is a Dire, truly useless experience. You get to look at a bit of the circuit from an empty stand then visit an overpriced gift shop. A truly awful addition to a bahrain tour. Looking at a defunct oil refinery had more interest. Avoid at all costs

Fantastic track and facilities for fans. Like many visited for the F1. Great organisation. Excellent staffing. The quality toilets are a big bonus. Been to many a venue and not good. These guys provide great facilities. Lots of areas and views to see the track. My suggestion would be to offer a northern stand area to make it feel like an Amphitheater. Great atmosphere and buzz. Entertainments and area is brilliant.
Quite a way from Manama so it is a bit of trip but many hotels offer buses there and back. Not too expensive for an Uber or taxi really. Obviously offers other events throughout the year. But the F1 event is a stunning achievement. Well done all.

Hello, I have been trying in vein to find such a tour as describe by you. How can you book it?
Thank you for the answer

It is nit difficult to be in F1 Bahrain. Buy a ticket on line through BIC website.
Book a hotel in Sofitel Hotel.. 3 mins away .. or in the Wyndham Grand Manama or any 4 star hotels.
These hotels will take you to F1 Circuit everyday as part of their welcome service.
Otherwise, just take a taxi and ask the driver to BIC Circuit.
Bahrain is a very welcoming country. The people are hospitable.

Are you limited to staying in the grandstands or can you walk around the track and get other vantage points?
Written January 22, 2018
You can walk around. Pit pass is extra. A box seat is a great way to watch. The last box as they come out of the pit is best. Food and alcohol is provided. We had a package deal with room and box seats. It was one in a lifetime event but worth it. We got autographs of both Mercedes drivers while there.

As a woman traveling to Bahrain for the F1 race in April, I would like to know how to dress for this event and traveling to and from the event.
Written January 14, 2017
Bahrain is a modern country and is open to all cultures. You can wear whatever attire that suits you. Generally ladies wear short skirts and sleeveless tops for Grand Prix event. Some young girls wear jeans and shirts. So you can dress up however you want to. Bahrain is an open country. You will have a lot of fun here.
