Interesting place

Interesting place to visit to buy some souvenir. Try to bargain in different shops before you buy as prices varies depending on the store.

I did not have great expectations for this spot and it disappointed me somewhat. It was nothing special and was lacking oriental ambiance. Seriously, I spent there about 20 minutes and thought it was much too long. Descriptions of this place exaggerate the experience; 'narrow alleys'? - sorry no narrow alleys.

We were very excited to visit this place but we're highly disappointed! We came from Saudi so we're used to being stared at and watched, poached, etc...but this was even more uncomfortable. There weren't that many shops of use, and as a tourist, I would not recommend it! Go to a mall instead.

Perhaps we were tired of souks by the time we got there, or, it was not totally open as it was not quie 4pm, but it was underwhelming.

This is not an authentic arab souq, but rather a street market full of shops ran by Indians/Pakistanis filled with low quality chinese stuff for sale.

The entrance to the Manama souk has been restored, and holds a few souvenir shops, but lacks in character. The rest of the market area caters to the local working class population, and is not of much interest to the traveller.

Worth a visit when in Bahrain. Good bargains can be got here and also haggle for discount. Many souvenirs and clothing to be bought

Came to the market to look for some oils and to buy some souvenirs. Left with bags, oils, traditional attire for my 4 year old son, gifts for the family. It has so much to offer. Locals are friendly and even though we went in the late evening i felt relatively safe. A msut go to if in Bahrain.

It is very nice to walk and see the cultural historic building and soul. It is not far from financial harbor where I went for business. Many banks and Restaurants are close by

This souk is lovely and has a great selection of souvenir shops. There are a couple of EXCELLENT restaurants that serve Bahraini breakfast, which makes for a perfect brunch after a morning seeing the shops. About the shops, know that you can (and ought to) haggle. If you are on a tight budget, there are other places in Adliya near... More
