Very interesting and fun haggling. If you look for longer than 3 seconds you have, albeit unwittingly, engaged in the haggling process. I found a very nice Tailor who does very good work for a very fair price. It is a great experience and reminded me somewhat of the Silk market in Beijing.

Been in bahrain for 4 years so I had to eventually visit the souk. If you have been to other souks in the middle east then you will be disappointed with this one. It is however a good place to get cloth.

One of the best historical places of Bahrain. A must visit when coming to the kingdom. Has a good breakfast restaurant (Bahraini cuisine) and a lot of shops including antiques.

The 'souk' has an old worldly charm. Visiting in winter (November to March) is advisable to avoid the searing heat! Suitable for a leisurely stroll combined with shopping! Bargaining in the form of asking for discounts or 'last price' is standard practice!
