I am sad to see how animals are kept in Al Areen. It is the most disgusting wildlife park I have visited. For such an amazing country why would they have something so bad. The problem is a combination of unqualified staff and inconsiderate visitors. I hope sense prevails and someone addresses the situation.

The entrance is nice, air conditioned with small setting area with foods and drinks. I payed 1 BD for ticket including the bus ride. Then you get into the park which is really a... More

Actually this place should be called a wildlife Sanctuary.. The animal are just kept in open barren spaces and doesn't seems to be good care for them... Once you enter the vicinity and buy tickets, it gives you chance to visit the sanctuary by bus which I believe is the best way to visit this attraction specially in summer. The... More

I have been to this place twice, First time was during a company tour, it was a short time. I came back because I wanted to see more. It was a great experience! The facility is huge. It can hold more animals than they already have. I would suggest to visit the place during cold season (if they are open).... More

The place is filthy, has poor maintenance and visible neglect to the animals and their conditions. After 5 minutes there, we left, we didn't want to see anymore.

As per the below reviews, I too thought the park would be wastage of time and energy. But to my surprise, it was clean and there where cleaners cleaning it time to time. However, it was very disheartening to see the poor animals. They looked really sad and trapped. Specially the tigers, lion and the leopards. The space provided was... More

Read the bad reviews on this page. They are ALL true. Apart from totally inadequate facilities for the poor wild animals being kept there, there is filth everywhere - including the cages. People just throwing their food wrappers wherever they stand & also AT the animals in their enclosures. Animals improperly kept in too small enclosures. Uneducated, idiot visitors &... More

Located near the Formula One track and very easy to get to from the Manama area. Admission is only 1BD and the place is nothing spectacular but it is a cheap way to spend a couple hours. The poor rating is due to the fact that park could be cleaner and the cages some of the animals are in are... More

I would strongly recommend that you do not visit this place. The standards of care for the animals is woefully inadequate and obviously cater to a clientele who neither know nor care. I watched a pack of saluki dogs yanked around, kicked at and hit by children and adults who clearly have no idea how to treat a sentient animal... More

I've been here when I was very young and loved it. The animals are beautiful and the facility looked nice. As I'm now older I understand that these animal are not happy, they are swaying side to side as their facilities are just meters by meters wide, the exotic animals look sad and seem imprisoned, after all they are imprisoned....
