Has the best cinema for sure
Aug 2021 • Family
Sahara mall has the best cinema in Riyadh HANDS DOWN. reasons I say this are the following :

-less crowds in the overall mall especially the cinema and the lines are not as long

-stress free, they barely have any technical issues etc
----------

Sahara mall is right opposite hayat mall so this location is perfect for being able to maximise your shopping experience 🛍️and still go to the movies! Not to mention the endless restaurant and cafe options!

One of the oldest shopping malls in Riyadh. Was my favorite place for weekly lunch with family as they have a big food court with a lot of fast food restaurants. They have currently renovation going on progress

The most nostalgic place ever.

It's been a family tradition to go to Sahara mall every Friday with our family friends, the changes that happened in the last couple of months greatly increased decor and gave the mall a new aesthetic. There are so many stores opening up and this would be the best mall to go to if you're looking to make friends or go with existing ones. It's easily accessible by impaired people and the staff are very friendly. It's so cozy and comfortable that you forget that you're outside your own house! You can eat from a variety of restaurants and then head down to the first floor and walk around eyeshopping, which always makes me at peace. If you're not looking for a big meal you can head to one of the cafes on the first floor, as they feel as if they're their own restaurant! However I do miss Tamimi Market and the upstairs amusement park. I bought many shoes and shirts from them but I do feel as if it's a mall that's more accommodating to younger children but if you know how to spot a good store you can get some pretty good deals! It also has a prayer area and the bathrooms are usually clean but could use an odor eliminator. I do hope that they quickly finish with the renovations to make this place feel homey again because I loved eating and walking around with my friends and cousins.

One of the least desirable malls in Ryiadh
Sep 2019
While on a business trip in Riyadh our hotel offered a shuttle to this mall.
The mall was very little frequented, the shops where limited and most of them family only which does not allow me, as single male visitor, to go in.
Also the food court was not pleasing to me, mostly fast food only one burger restaurant with interior seating options.
As we had two stay for three hours, I thought after half an hour, which roughly needed to see everything that could be a boring stay.

Luckily I have discovered that just over the street, there was the Hayat mall, much betters shops and also the food options are much better than in Sahara's. I ended up in an Indian restaurant which was very good. At the end Hayat mall helped to spend the three hours.

Sahara mall ist not recommended for single travelers.

We are back to Sahara Mall after long time. There is no much change in it. We used to enjoy lunch every Friday in the food court.

Family Visit

We visited this location for the first time as we were on an excursion visit to Riyadh from Khobar. It is a huge complex accommodation number of malls at one place. Place is worth visiting with family, yet a reasonable time is required for moving around the mall.
Huge parking, food court, branded stuff shops, charming interiors, play land and much more.

It is nice mall with large variety of restaurants. It is also good for shopping. It has a lot of brands shops. But I don't like its theme park. If you have children be sure first if they would like it there.

If you want to spend some time enjoying the food with so many restaurants (American, arabic,Indian and local food where you go around in in the first floor and after you're done you can go downstairs walk around shopping or do eye shopping where you see all brands on your right and lift plus coffe shops and you can end your visit buying from Safeway near gate 1 so you will spend some quality time and finish your tour with a relief.

This is a nice modern mall that has a great selection of stores and a good food court with some great choices. Feels spacious even when there were a lot of people. One of the better malls in Riyadh

Check out great milkshakes and shops you may not find elsewhere!

Complimenting its neighbouring mall, the Hayat, the Sahara has a better food court (one to actually get excited about), a Fudruckers, and many stores that aren't in most of the other malls in Riyadh - such as Pottery Barn (regular and a kids one) and a new West Elm. The children's Pottery Barn has lots of furniture (quite expensive), linens, but also many school related items like lunch boxes (two kinds each for boys and girls) and backpacks (2 sizes) as well as a monograming station at the back of the store - s you can differentiate you child's backpack from all the other childrens' who have the same one.

The also have many of the stores and shops that other malls have like Gap, H&M, Boots, Next, etc. There is a Taimimi grocery store at the far end that seems a bit lost in time but still has some great items and good prices.

The Sahara is a long up and back mall promenade, with the food court and children's play areas located on the second floor upstairs.

In the middle of the promenade, near the end with Taimimi , there is a terrific milkshake and frozen yogurt kiosk called Shakeaway. It is a must try - and I guarantee you will find some flavour that you fancy.
