I got quite a good number of opportunities to perform Hajj and Umrah, and prayed 2 ركعات rakaʿāt behind Maqam-e-Ibrahim AS (Station of Abraham). It is located near the southern corner of the Kaaba. Muslims believed that these 2 concavities have been imprinted by the feet of Ibrahim, when he stood on a large stone block to complete the construction of the higher bonds of the Holy Kaaba assisted by his son Ismail (Ishmael) AS. It is believed that this rock was sent from Heaven to Prophet Ibrahim AS. Once the Tawaf is completed, it is mandatory for the haji or pilgrim to offer 2 rakaʿāt preferably close to the glass enclosure housing the footprints, or from a distance so that no trouble is caused to other Muslims performing tawaf. One of the miracles of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) is that when he stood on that rock, it became soft and his feet dived into the rock which resulted in making the impression of his feet on the rock. After several hundred years, those impressions are still on that rock. The Islamic Museum in Makkah showcases astonishing pieces of art work and decorative patterns, including the casing of this Station, which were once hallmarks of the two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah.

The Maqame Ebrahim refers to the stone on which Ebrahim (upon him be peace) stood on while he was building the Ka’bah. As Ismail (upon him be peace) passed stones to Ebrahim (upon him be peace), and as Ebrahim (upon him be peace) continued laying them in place the Maqame Ebrahim miraculously continued rising higher and higher as the walls rose. Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) caused the trace of his footprints to remain on the stone as a reminder to the believers among his descendants.
It has been reported from Sa’eed bin Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said: “The stone is the station of Ebrahim. Allah made it soft and made it a mercy. Ebrahim would stand on it and Ismail would hand the stones up to him.” [Muthir Al-Gharam]
Ebrahim and Ismail (upon them be peace) used to mention the following Quranic verse as they were constructing the Holy Ka’bah,“Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: for you are the All-Hearing, The All-Knowing.” [2:127]
Ebrahim (upon him be peace) constructed the Ka’bah using rocks from five mountains; Hira, Thubayr, Labnaan, Toor and Jabalul Khayr. Toor Seena (Mount Sinai) is actually situated in the eastern desert of Egypt.

or Maqam Ibrahim
holy place in the courtyard of Haram
with Tawaf

This stone is located near the Holy Ka'aba. Prophet Ibrahim (A) used this stone as his station while building the Holy Ka'aba. A very sacred place.

Its situated alongside the Holy Kaaba,. After the tawaaf a person must try and read the prayers right behind it, but it gets too congested that its not possible to do it

Foot step of prophet Ibrahim (Abraham).
In Islamic religion there is a believe that Ibrahim is the first one who built the Kaaba with his son and that these foot steps are his.
Just have a quick look at it for 20 sec (sine you can’t touch it) and move ... it is right next to Kaaba.

This is where prophet Abraham stood to build Kaaba with his son after he received an inspiration from Allah to set it in this place exactly, studying the area geographical and scientifically proven to have Zamzam water as a natural water.

After performing the tawaf around holy kaaba, it is better to pray behind the Maqam of Prophet Ibrahim PBUH. These days it is hard to stop by their because of the crowds in Haram.
