The ride up to Mount Nebo is worth the trip alone. Switch backs and beautiful valley's along the way. The view from the entrance is breath taking

I'm not particularly religious, and so didn't have a burning desire to see Mt Nebo in the first place. Whilst it's very clean and there are views across jordan on Israel (of the haze isn't too bad - which it was when I was there) there really isn't that much on offer here - particularly as the church and mosaic... A must see site for the wonderful mosaics and view on the Jordan Valley. The Memorial church is dedicated to Moses.

I was lucky to visit today, the first day the Church is open, it's beautiful and the way the original mosaics have been cared for and displayed is lovely. There is a presence once you get away from the crowds. Make sure you sit and take it all in. It's amazing how close it is to the holy land. The... More

Need a special transportation in order to see the place. The church until this moment is under renovation for more than 2 years?. Some mosaic and great view..

Though historically very important there is not much to see at mount Nebo. The trip does offer some great view and preserved mosaic.

On top of Mt Nebo is a Franciscan Church, with newly uncovered mosaic and a small Museum. But also a great view that is little different from the parking lot. Tip: Depending on what you came for, you may decide not to pay the 1 JD to enter the top and settle with the parking lot view. You will also... More

the church is closed for renovation during our visit, so the only thing to do was to look at Israelis territories far down on a platform

Get goose bumps being at the place where Moses saw the promised land! Go to the museum - read through everything including the legends on Moses' burial spot and the efforts that went into discovering this place! The memorial church was under renovation when we went - am sure it would be an experience! P.S. Check out the views from... More

The sight holds religious significance. There is a small well done museum. The church here is not yet opened however we were informed it would be by the end of October. Groups hold Catholic masses here.
