Our driver, Mourad, was fantastic. Great conversation on the longer drives and connected with guides and hosts in all the sites, so, he could help make sure the trips suited our preferences when we wanted to deviate from basic plan,

Today marks exactly one year since our incredible Jordan adventure, accompanied every step of the way by JPTT’s first-rate team. Why has it taken so long to write you may ask? Well, life happened I guess, but mainly because it’s been so challenging to set the experience to writing in a way that does the trip justice. Full disclosure, whatever is written here will never be enough to describe the mesmerising adventures we had. But it will I hope, at least, convince you to go on this journey yourselves if it is one you’re considering. So every adventure has a beginning, and ours began with JPTT tours. Being two female travellers, choosing a local company over some of the more well-known tour companies posed certain risks that started to ease with the first email exchange. Representatives were brilliant in terms of polite and prompt replies, patiently answering extensive questions from uneasy travellers and offering continuous support even before we set foot on the plane. This trip involves so many hours travelling by car with a personal guide so you can understand our concern with … well getting on with our driver, feeling safe and being able to communicate without any issues. In comes Fadi, the star of our journey. After spending one night in Amman, Fadi picked us up from our hotel bright and early to begin the first part of our trip bearing a warm smile (sypsena – in Lithuanian) and a general sense of enthusiasm that put us straight at ease. Remarkably, due to Fadi’s professionalism, generous spirit and instinctive ability to understand people, there was no initial awkwardness at all. This great rapport continued until our emotional parting. Our time together was so unique that the downside was bidding our newfound friend farewell. As if experiencing the wonders of Jordan such as Mt. Nebo, little Petra, Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead and Red (rozine in Lithuanian) sea isn’t pure joy enough, doing so in the company of a trusted local added an extra layer of vitality. Whether scoring us Petra by Night tickets, taking us off the grid to buy authentic Bedouin scarves, making pit stops for the best local coffee and food (still dreaming about the falafel) or offering advice, Fadi’s beautiful spirit and brilliant sense of humour helped us experience Jordan in its authentic glory. As for the incredible landmarks … honestly please don’t hesitate … go and experience the wonders whenever you can. There is something for everyone. Rich in culture, history, nature, religious pilgrimages and wondrous landscapes, prepare to be overwhelmed in an excellent way. Thankfully Laura can read maps, so planning your Petra trip is a must to make sure you take in all the sights that you’re hoping to see, rather than walking around in giant circles, which would have happened if I was alone. 20 or so Kilometres on foot in a single day is a feat but worthwhile, as this sensory overload makes you forget feeling tired! It’s also a plus travelling with a friend whose enthusiasm to take in as much as possible is contagious. Optional donkey rides to the top are not for the faint-hearted but oh … the views are just … well, you’ll see. At the entrance/exit to the site is a bar to treat yourselves to what you can imagine will be the best beer you’ve ever had/earned. Wadi Rum and the Bedouin culture are frankly breathtaking. Our camel ride to the campsite was an adventure in itself, and followed by one of the tastiest meals, meeting interesting campmates and an evening star (zvaigste in Lithuanian) gazing it was indeed a magical night. Note – don’t be brave - use the blankets provided, as it does get cold at night! Extra Note – There’s WiFi! The following day had us back on the road (well sand) with our Bedouin guide who was so much fun and an expert in photography, taking us to some of the desert’s most iconic sights. If the Dead Sea is your thing yes, you really do float. The reality of embarking on majestic adventures is that there is a strong sense of practicality at play that can get in the way of fully embracing the experience at hand. With Fadi and JPTT tours, we were able to put all concerns aside and have a remarkable time making wonderful memories. Thank you (Aciu in Lithuanian) Fadi and your entire team for an unforgettable journey. Still smiling with joy one year on.…

Our drive Khaled was friendly and easy going. Although it was gorgeous, we would not camp in the Bedouin tents unless it were fall or spring. In winter it was much too cold! It would be better if "The Bubbles" were offered- this would have made it so much more enjoyable as we would have paid extra for the upgrade. …

It is mentioned and written so clear on all our tours what to expect; and we warn clients that it is too cold to spend the night at Wadi Rum during winter season and are giving them and encourage them to upgrade to heated and more luxury tents - if available at time of visit , the only option that we could do on this regard is to remove this option to visit Wadi Rum during winter time with reasonable price because better tents are more expensive and not not available on most times.
