We didn't do it because of a dust storm and we were able to opt out. However a friend recently did it and had mixed feelings. Said it was an experience but was pleased it was only for one night...........felt it was boring!

hello, yes you could do a half day trip to Petra, be ready with your walking shoes ! its a goid 3/4 hours of walk to and fro....we too did a half day trip to Petra :) enjoy !
