Just got back home from a fantastic trip in Jordan with Discover Jordan Tours. I did the Dana to Petra Hike which is part of the Jordan Trail and had a two days extention in Wadi Rum which was all in all a fantastic experience. Laura and Discover Jordan made it possible for me to come and do this adventure in Jordan, it was an unforgettable experience with magnificent nature, great people and encounters and new friendships which I will always keep in my heart. I'm very greatfull to the whole team of Discover Jordan and all my drivers and guides who have accompanied me for the organisation and the care throughout my journey, I cannot tell how happy I am that I traveled to Jordan, did the hike and got to know this country, it's people and it's culture. It was an incredible time for me!

First, Discover Jordan is the fastest responding booking and managing company I have dealt with in Jordan. Got us a price we couldn't resist. The Mövenpick is extremely welcoming and luxurious. Pools for children, families or adults only. Grandiose architecture and built environment. Instant free access to Internet. Fast room service and incredible staff. A variety of cuisine and leisure facilities. Irresistible scenery and literally the best bed my body has ever laid on. Would Definitely go there again and again.

When: My best friend and I, just came back from a customized trip in Jordan during the two last weeks of March 2021. Goals: We were a bit hesitant especially because of the obvious Covid situation worldwide, so we asked if it would be possible to do mainly hiking with very little contact to the population and with private guides in order to try to comply with the Covid rules and not be stressed by a constant infection risk. How: Laura, made us a proposal according to our wishes. And we can’t thank her enough. She and her team have been so attentive to all our needs, always trying to make us feel safe and comfortable. You could reach someone at ANY time in case of a question and we felt really welcomed and taken care of. As an experienced traveler I enjoyed the rare pleasure of not having to take care of the time consuming details of transfers In-between two sites for example. Everything went so smoothly, it was perfect planing and coordination. Trip details: After a quick view of Amman, Laura planed a trip from the north (Hemma, Um Qais) to the south, including all the highlights of Jordan: Jerash, the Dead Sea, magnificent (and empty) Petra (that she had us enter from the back entrance, absolutely ask for that, we were 20 tourists there, tops), the wadi rum, Aqaba... (and a lot more highlights I can’t cite). For every step we had a very competent and fascinating guide (thanks to Ahmad, Fadi, Awad, Abu bassam and the others), and a wonderful driver (Mohamed, who is in reality like a father to you). We bought the Jordan pass which covers the entrance of nearly all sites. How about Covid? For sure the numbers especially in Amman as we were there, were high. In the few (very nicely chosen hotels) we were, hygiene conditions were scrupulously respected. There was a curfew at 6pm and a lockdown on fridays, but our days were already so packed that it didn’t bother us so much. For the rest, we just asked to eat in separate plates, as it is custom to share, (which actually didn’t surprise anyone). If we felt too close within tiny spaces or that the mask wasn’t really worn in a proper fashion we just mentioned it, and we always met an apologetic smile and understanding. As we explained that a negative COVID test is mandatory to bord the flight back home, most people were pretty respectful and careful. From our side we carried a lot of hand désinfectant. And our cutlery for camps, just to put everyone at ease. Summary: Jordanians, are extremely welcoming and nice and smiling. And as the rest of the world they’re eager to see tourists coming back. We had amazing food, especially in the desert (Awad what a cook!) If you want to see the country as you will never see it again, with its most fascinating sites just for yourself, this is the right moment. In the wide midst of all the travel agencies, I would ask Laura again. And can only join all the positive comments that have been written on this site before. I have rarely met someone who really wants to transmit you the love she felt for her adoptive country and I come back home with a million pictures in my head. Thank you to all the team, and we hope that we’ve been the first of a new series of maybe different travelers. As for sure these are weird times for the few privileged of us.

My partner and I undertook the 9 night Dana to Aqaba trek, via Petra and Wadi Rum. In short, absolutely amazing experience. We are 'mature' and worried if we could cope - we did, although the slightly cooler temperatures at this time of the year helped. The small group helped too - getting on very well with all. From the greeting at Amman airport through to delivery at Aqabq, the organisation was for the most part superb, the scenery stunning, hiking fantastic and the food our guides prepared along the way better than many a restaurant. First full day from Dana through the valley to our nights camp was hot hard work, the unexpected shower at the nights camp a heavenly bonus. Day 2, over the mountains was spectacular (we even provided some much needed rain!) and day 3 again through the mountains heading towards Petra and a night at a Bedouin camp another scenery overload. As for Petra itself, we entered through the backdoor and as we rounded a bend on the track, the awe inspiring Monastry was in front of us. The rest, equally fantastic! From there to Wadi Rum and 3 nights treking in the desert. Our leaders where hugely informative and supportive - rock climbing to small l;edges and more stunning views made easy. The sun rises and sunsets stunning, colours and landscapes vivid. And then, tired and dusty; delivered to a lovely hotel in Aqaba - with jhot showers
