The ancient roman ruins offers a wide top perspective over the part of the Petra. You can feel the energy of the past time climbing its stairs to the ceremonial center and visiting it. Must see :)

A must see sight in Amman, you could spent less than 30 mins here, however we stayed longer to soak in the atmosphere. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. We arrive about 5pm as if wasn't so hot then

Amazing little site in the middle of town. It apparently can hold up to 6k people!! Lots of school kids when we were there. Make sure you're very well covered up. I was getting funny looks for wearing shorts.

This place is really beautiful. Easy to access either by taxi/uber or walking downtown. Price is not too much compared to other places. And it is a must see definitely. The 2 small museums going along with the theatre are a bit old and old...More

When in Rome...or in this case Amman, this is well worth a visit. Another demonstration of the skill of Roman engineers and architecture.

One of the best Roman Cities we have sen as a lot of it is relatively still intact. A good guide is essential to take you round here as there is so much history attached to this place.

Full credit to the Jordanians for still allowing people to go into and go right around - and up - this magnificent ampitheatre.

I have visited this place in 2013 while taking a stopover in Amman during Haj. This place is well kept and there is a museum next to it. It is a nice stop in the downtown area.

We had a rental car when we visited. The entrance to the site is close to a major intersection and there is a bazaar at the entrance. I think you should have no problem finding a taxi.
