Dekel Tours did an outstanding job putting together a family tour of Israel. They were extremely focused on reflecting and delivering exactly what we wanted to experience, as well as letting us know about opportunities of which we might not have been aware. Our tour guide Rotem was knowledgeable, attentive, pleasant and completely on top of her game, as was our company contact, David. When we wanted to buy particular items, Rotem knew exactly where to bring us or found out where to take us if she didn't. Anytime we had a concern, David was reachable and ready with a perfect solution. We were a "high maintenance" family but nothing we requested was considered too difficult or too much or too anything. There were no "surprise" charges and the service was simply beyond reproach. They respected cost consciousness when it was wanted and were knowledgeable about splurging when that was wanted. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Dekel was outstanding in every aspect, from the escort not after baggage claim but right after I exited the plane, to the immediate drive to the hotel, to the informative & enthusiastic guide (Avi) who accompanied us everywhere, to the proficient driver (Hezi), in short, first class personnel, itinerary, accommodations & meals. Easy to recommend if one's looking for crème de la crème treatment. Don't miss Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Ceasarea, Ayalon Institute, Yvel Design Center, Jerusalem & the Dead Sea. Anita for ice cream. Alexander Bakery for sweets. David Kempinski for hotel in Tel Aviv.

We've been home for a week since our amazing trip to Israel to celebrate our granddaughter's bat mitzvah. Despite our initial safety concerns, we made the decision to join our family. We always felt safe and well cared for with our wonderful guide Amir and our driver Hezi. From the time we were met at the gate in Tel Aviv to the time we left, Amir filled our heads and hearts with the astounding history, the uniqueness of Israel's people, and perspective on the current situation. We cannot recommend the tour group more enthusiastically and look forward to celebrating our grandson's bar mitzvah with Dekel in a few years.

My husband and I (along with our 8-month old baby) just spent two weeks in Israel and a couple days in Jordan visiting Petra and had an absolutely incredible trip. We used Dekel tours for our airport transfers, all of our accommodations, a tour guide in Jerusalem, VIP border crossing into Jordan and back and all accommodations and tours in Jordan.
The experience with Dekel tour was completely custom for us (which is often not the case when using similar services) as well as seamless and incredible.
Every detail was carefully curated based on our parameters and we could not have been happier.
I highly recommend using Dekel Tours whether you just need help with a few small details - or in planning every detail of your trip!

I work at a Jewish day school, so when it came time to plan a Bnot Mitzvah trip to Israel, there was no shortage of tour company recommendations. However, David Gross of Dekel Tours immediately stood out from the rest. To begin, I appreciated seamless communication with a native English speaker. In addition, as they say, presentation is everything. The proposed itinerary from Dekel tours was beautifully crafted with color images and easy to read text blocks. The other proposals I received looked like résumés, or a document you might use to take notes. The itinerary was 100% personalized to our family. From the hotels to the activities, every one of our interests and needs were considered. This was no easy feat with a group ranging in age from 12-78. We also had a particular tour guide in mind, (Sharon Pelleg), and Dekel tours was able to secure the tour guide of our choice. For the Bnot mitzvah, (2 daughters ages 12 and 15), we were given phenomenal recommendations for clergy, location and photography.
Once the planning was complete, and we arrived in Israel, the superior service continued with immediate communication whenever needed. For example, we unexpectedly required a scooter for a family member who experienced limited mobility. A scooter was delivered to the hotel and our transportation was modified to accommodate. Also, a different family member needed a chiropractor, David was able to schedule and arrange travel to and from an appointment.
I know this is quite the gushing review, but it is well deserved. Superior communication and implementation of an itinerary that provided the trip we dreamed of, earned this review.

Planning a bar mitzvah in Israel from the United States seemed like a daunting task. I am BEYOND grateful that I found Dekel Tours to help me with this huge undertaking. David Gross and Avital Rachmilevitch made this so easy for me! David planned a ten day tour for 36 of my family members ranging in age from 4-78. A month after returning, we are all still glowing from the incredible experience. David was responsive, easy to work with, professional, kind and a native English speaker, (which made communicating much easier). The itinerary was fantastic, each day was filled with incredible activities that were fun and enriching. He set us up with a fantastic tour guide and bus driver and everyone involved worked hard everyday to make sure all of our needs were met. (Not easy to do with 36 people!) David took care of everything from A-Z. Literally, from the moment we landed until we step foot on the plane to go home, he was with us all the way. Avital worked with me to plan an unforgettable event for my son’s bar mitzvah. She took care of all the swag for the trip from t-shirts and goodies, to balloons and décor for the event. I would HIGHLY recommend Dekel Tours for anybody planning a trip to Israel.

We had an absolutely wonderful 12 days in Israel, thanks in huge part to Dekel Tours and our phenomenal guide Sharon Pelleg. Tamar at Dekel helped us plan a terrific trip that met all of our needs and wants. Leading up to the trip, Tamar had heard some feedback from other clients about the lack of customer service in one of the hotels we were scheduled to stay in. Based on this, she worked to find us another place to stay that would meet our budget and our needs. During the trip, Tamar was in regular communication with Sharon to make any necessary adjustments in our itinerary due to traffic or unforeseen changes. From our point of view, all arrangements functioned like a well-oiled machine but really I know that Tamar and Sharon were the ones that were communicating with vendors to make sure all was perfect! Our favorite activities were enjoying lunch cooked by and talking to with a Druze family in Golan Heights, hiking and enjoying the waterfalls of Ein Gedi and especially, hiking up to Masada at sunrise. And now on to Sharon, our spectacular guide. Sharon was with our family for over half of our trip (the rest of the time we toured on our own). Sharon was energetic, creative, insightful, patient, honest, and so much more than we could have hoped for. She worked to adapt her history lessons to our teenagers' interest levels, listened to our teenage son when he wanted to talk with someone about video games, brought us to "off the beaten path" sites, started conversations with a variety of Israelis that we came across so that we could meet individuals from so many different walks of life, shared her own views with us about life as an Israeli woman, and listened to our views as Jewish Americans. By the end of our trip, our teenage children were referring to our guide as "Aunt Sharon". Sharon will very much be a part of our most special memories of a spectacular trip to Israel. We truly cannot recommend enough both Dekel AND especially Sharon Pelleg.

We were in Israel to celebrate our son's Bar Mitzvah. David, our agent, put together the perfect trip for us from start to finish. We toured for 7 days and each day was full of memorable experiences and learning. We needed a change of plans one day due to rain and David suggested a visit to a Blacksmith. It was an amazing addition to our trip. Our son was able to work with the artist to create his very own Yad which he used during his service. This was one highlight out of many. Our guide Shira was very knowledgeable and fun to be with. She felt like part of our family. We made the right choice in choosing Dekel Tours for our trip and highly recommend them.

We had a fantastic experience with Dekel on our Israeli vacation. From the moment we got off the plane we were treated like VIP's. Our primary contact, Mark Coleman from Dekel, worked closely with us to ensure that our itinerary matched what we were hoping to do and showed off the best of both Israel and Jordan in the time that we had. What we appreciated was that, the trip was planned in such a way that we got to do so much, experience new places and still didn't feel frantic or over-scheduled. Given this was our first family trip to the mid-east we were uncertain as to process and documentation for crossing the border between Israel and Jordan, but Dekel took care of every and made it seamless for us. We also has amazing tour guides who were a great blend of informative, entertaining, flexible and engaging. We learned so much and left feeling like we had made a new friend. This truly was a trip of a lifetime and we are grateful for the thoughtfulness and diligence to make that possible. Thank you Dekel and Mark!

David arranged a tour for me, my mother and my 12yo daughter. We gave him the difficult task of planning an itinerary that would be interesting for three generations and he fully delivered. The activities were a blend that met all of our interests. We all particularly loved the graffiti tour and cooking in the Druize village. Everything was well organized and anytime we needed help with dinner reservations or anything else, David answered us immediately. Excellent service, I can’t recommend highly enough.
