Ika did an outstanding job of weaving together the centuries old story of Israel, including the geography, people, religions, culture, and politics. It is very complicated, but Ika does a great job of helping you understand how it all fits together. I would definitely recommend him, and will use him again when I return.

Ika is extremely knowledgeable, and that is an understatement. He knows the history of not just the area but how it relates back to larger and global geographies. He knows the best various locations for food and tourism and took us on a well planned and well executed full day tour of the city. Thanks Ika!

Had my customers visit with me to Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. It was all our first time and all of us are non-religious living in Japan. It was an excellent experience to hear the 3 major religions converging on such a small piece of land, how they historically intertwined, and set the current climate of today. I really felt that today’s sensational news doesn’t give justice to the peace and quiet seen in the city. It was a lovely tour.
We also drove to the northern part of the Dead Sea and took a dip. Although it was a hot day, it was a pleasant experience. They had showers to wash the salt off but be careful to not get any of it in your eyes.
Overall, I felt Ika-san did a great job providing a tour from Mount of Olives, the Jerusalem old city entering from Jaffa Gate, and finally the Dead Sea. During the whole journey, there were many other tour guides, store owners, or restaurant owners shaking his hand. It is clear he knows the terrain, knows the people, and has a full rich knowledge of the stories to keep you fully entertained. This time the company paid for the tour, but knowing what I now know, I would have been just as satisfied if I paid from my own pocket. It was a great and unforgettable experience. I would recommend him to anyone.

My wife and I engaged Ika for a full day's tour of Ein Gedi (a national park - plenty of waterfalls!), Masada, and the Dead Sea. Ika had been our tour guide for a much larger group twice before, so we already knew his style and storytelling skills.
Suffice it to say it was one of the best touring experiences ever! We've explored New Zealand, Ecuador (Galapagos), Europe, and throughout the USA, but there's nothing like have an experienced tour guide who intimately knows the area, the subject matter, and the culture. Ika checks all three boxes! We are both active and in our mid-60s and Ika was keen to take into account our physical capabilities as well.

a small group of us from the US arranged a one day tour of Old Jerusalem with Ika, and it was phenomenal. He is a wonderful tour guide and i regret not spending more time in the old city with Ika showing the way. Ika is such a wealth of knowledge as a historian, scholar and archaeologist. He walks you through so much history, cultural background and geography, that you have such a better understanding of why the Holy Land is such a special place for all Jews, Catholics and Muslims. I'll never forget it.. A huge thank your to Ika for a Magical Day

Back in January on the 17th, we, a small group of 7 spent the day with Ika.
He is a true professional, he made our day very special, very knowledgeable and would answer all the questions, as a true historian, not as a tour guide. Very interesting.
I would have no hesitation in reccomending Ika, well worth the investing of Ika's time.

Ika was an amazing guide on our family trip to Israel. He worked closely with us to create an itinerary that allowed us to see all the highlights and mix in time with local family.
He was flexible and had great recommendations throughout the trip. Ika created a fun point system for our children to “compete” to answer questions that he would use to engage them in learning.
At many stops, other tour guides would pay him respect and tell us how lucky we were to have him as our guide. He had trained many other guides over the years.
He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Israel and would answer our questions with a full explanation, and then some.
Overall, couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

It's my honor and privilege to recomend Ika as a tour guide/orgenizer. We were a group of 25 people that Ika took us to the Sea of galilee and the surrounding area . His knowledge, the fascinating way of telling the stories and the history of the places are marvelous. Thank you Ika for a day to remember.

Terrific experience for my first trip to Israel & Jerusalem. Well planned, full day tour of Jerusalem - starting at Mount Scopus, continuing through to Mount of Olives, Church of All Nations, and exploring the Old City of Jerusalem.
Ika is extremely engaging, knows the best ways to experience each of these historic locations, provides active secular and non-secular commentary and also provided terrific suggestions on other landmarks to experience while in Israel.
If you are looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable guide - look no further than Ika!

Let me just say Ika is the tour guides tour guide . First of all the guys like the mayor of Jerusalem. Everywhere we went we’re constantly stopped by an assortment people who just wanted to say hi and connect with him . We we’re specifically stopped by several of Ika’s students who were visibly in awe of him. All that being said he’s great communicator with a vast knowledge of the history archeology and personal contacts and experience that make him a can’t miss when you go to Israel. He took us to great restaurants
all the famous sights as well as some really cool off the beaten path sites. He provided us with great transportation. A big beautiful brand new suv. Next time I go to Israel I think I’m going to book a room for him and have him guide on our entire trip😀😂. In the end I consider Ika a great friend and human being.
From now on I’m spelling tour guide IKA

May I ask how do you charge for a private day tour of Jerusalem (from Tel Aviv) for a family of three. Thank you.
