Pleasant beach in the heart of the city (like all those in Tel Aviv)
The water of this beach is impeccable, even though we are in the heart of the city: this is the first observation to make. A sign that the purification plants are working well. As a group, we spent a few hours of an August day on this beach, having come from Carmel Market. Given the location and the season, the beach is packed. However, there is room for everyone, the beach beds can be rented at very low prices. There is ample availability for food and drink. All in all we spent a wonderful few hours here.

    Beautiful Public Beach
There’s plenty of umbrellas and seats for shade and relaxing. The beach is very crowded so you might have to walk a little far to get a spot. The cafes nearby offer food and drinks at a little higher premium than other places. There’s also a market within a 10min walk where you can get items, food, and groceries.

Lovely beach - beautiful views of spectacular sunsets
We spent time on this beach and watched the sunset here, which was stunning. The beach was very clean and although there were surfers in the water, there were signs saying that swimming was not allowed. We learned this was due to high bacteria counts. The beach was lovely nonetheless and hopefully this problem has been addressed or will be soon.

A few friends and I walked to Banana Beach before breakfast one morning in Tel Aviv. And it was a beautiful beach to walk on, take pictures/selfies, and enjoy the view! Tel Aviv has great beaches (all different and good for different things/activities). This one is great for walking, looking for seashells, enjoying the view, and taking photos. We were there in winter, but I did notice that there were umbrellas and beach volleyball courts, so maybe in the summer it's a more fun, active beach?!

We found Banana Beach to be perfect for a late afternoon time! It has great restaurant right next to it, on the beach. You can sit in a long chair, under an umbrella, on the sand, 50 feet away from the Mediterranean Sea or off the sand or inside. Best of all, the beach chairs are free, just choose yours, csit down and someone will come to take your order...they serve coffee of all kinds, water-still and sparkling, juices, cocktails, soda, coke, anything. A little later you can order dinner, they have great selections of food and wines. You will surely enjoy it and, like all the beaches along the Promenade, you can later get a bus or a taxi to go wherever you need to go.

We were looking to have nice breakfast on the beach so we went to the place have had a breakfast.
The place is indeed on the beach, amazing view, free entrance and parking.
BUT...
Most seats are outside so if it’s hot... and the prices are really not fair. And the food doesn’t worth the expensive price they ask. They are asking much more then reasonable!!
Warmly recommend to go at the evening, have a beer or coffee ONLY and enjoy the sunset and the atmosphere. Or go in the morning for a coffee. Don’t eat - the food doesn’t worth the price...

Don't miss a day at the beach in Tel aviv. Not a spec of trash or seaweed to be found. The water was clean and the perfect temperature. There are Waves but not anything to large.
Many vendors rent , chairs, umbrellas , chaises etc. Don't miss the restaurant- with white umbrellas. great relaxing vibe with large menu and wonderful cocktails. Family friendly.
Great hummus, , foccacia appetizers. The schnitzel and salads were large and delicious.

This beach is always crowded of locals and tourists, because it’s close to many hotels and easy to reach from the city center, plus there are a lot of activities you can do here, and also bar and the restaurant with same name.
And, in a couple of kilometres by walk you can reach Old Jaffa. Nice.

The Aviv Beach section, a bit South from Banana beach has a nice restaurant, bar, convenience store and surf school with a separated section for the surfers.

Aviv Beach has a nice wave, but it is not strong enough to hurt little children. The usual amenities like umbrellas, chairs and loungers can be rented at the vending machines. Dressing rooms and toilets are available next to one of the bars.

Recommended for families, couples or friends.

It was crowded, fair enough, it was hot, but people really don’t understand about private space. I can touch my neighbor beach goer just by stretching out my arm. They just edge up to you. I had this pervy guy starring at my teenage daughter. I didn’t know you had to pay for umbrellas and chairs (6s each) and lounging chairs costs 12s. Someone dressed in yellow patrolled around the beach checking that you have your tickets. After you buy your ticket, this guy would come and dig a hole for you to put your beach umbrella in and give you a chair. It was an interesting experience. I have been to nicer and cleaner beaches. The sand had cigarette butts, food and all sorts of bits and pieces. Jelly fish were plenty and they were huge around here. At least this place had a toilet, open showers and a first aid station.

Sadly the second time I have been here and second time it s not been great. 1st time was average with poor service. Now average service with terrible food. Wilted israeli salad. Runny yoghurt. Burn Jachnoon and tasteless eggs. The beach view is what you pay for but the food was rancid.

This is a great place to surf or kite surf. We ate lunch here while watching people surf and it was great.

This is a great beach for many reasons - the sand is lovely and soft, there are waves at this beach which vary depending on the weather, but they are mostly great body surfing waves and ones you can dive underneath. The water temperature is warm and the water clear.

There are bars/cafes nearby with good choices and easy walking distance. There are clean water facilities to rinse down your sandy feet etc and some nice undercover areas if you want to enjoy the outdoors without the possible sunburn.
