35 reviews
See a different side of Israel, from crusader fortresses to Baha’i shrines, from Roman architecture to marine caverns, on this door-to-door guided tour of the nation's northern coast. Start at the Roman ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great; progress to Haifa, where the sacred gardens of the Baha’i faith tumble down terraces; enter the watery wonderland of the Rosh Hanikra grottos; and discover the rich history of Acre.

A must for swimmers and good for bathers and sunbathers as well! Unique for a number of reasons. Open air, enclosed only by a fence in the middle of the promenade at road level, north end, it has 50 and 25 metre sections and a smaller pool. The water is salt but is brought up from underground by an artesian well. It is quite different to sea water and - WARNING! - bring properly fitting goggles otherwise your eyeballs will fall out! For a one off visit is expensive as these things go but worth it and anyway not to be missed if swimming is your thing.

Having looked at the reviews of the Gordon pool we were looking fwd to this. Made the effort to go there only to find it closed and it looked as though it hasn't been open for some time. Such a shame.

There is a 50 meter, saltwater pool if you like to lap swim. It’s crowded with families with young children. It costs 79 shekels ($22.50), which is quite steep for a caged in public pool. Dressing rooms are outside of the security entrance to the pool area. Next time, I’d rather swim at the beach for free.

If you want to swim and not get salt in your eyes this is the place, a pool on the beach. There are lanes for swimming in an olympic size pool and then there is a smaller pool to the side. It can be busy when there is a crowd on the beach. A little pricy near $20 US to get in.
