Interesting history
Jan 2020 • Couples
Very interesting learning about the history from the man in tourist information. Worth a visit to Sarona and a visit to this information centre . Only sorry we could not get back for a detailed tour. When walking round here it’s like an oasis in the middle of all the traffic and high rise building .The market is another experience not to be missed.

Park under on a rainy day

Parking has become an issue in Tel Aviv so we found that the underground parking lot of Sarona takes you right into the heart of the market for a quick meal and reasonable price with minimal walking.

Mid to late 19th Century Settlement
Dec 2019 • Friends
Fascinating history of settlement which is now within the modern day Tel Aviv area by a German sect called the Templers. Amazing to see and learn how they lived. There is a free tour on Fridays and Tuesdays at 11 am. No reservations required. Well worth the time and effort.

Gorgeous Town
Nov 2019
Founded by German Templars 1871, this unique site had amazing changes. It was the first Hebrew city, then British Military Base and then the headquarters of both Israeli Army and the Mossad. Now one of Tel Aviv's most popular recreation sites.

Fascinating presentation of an early German Templars settlement that served as the Army command center in the 1940's

Beautiful park and boutique shopping utilizing the historic buildings of an early German Colony in Tel Aviv. Historic information on each building makes strolling through this peaceful oasis in bustling Tel Aviv interesting and enjoyable.

Excellent place

Sarona is a reconstructed German settlement with many interesting places to see, eat and shop. There's a nice whiskey distillery and museum, many cafes, bakeries and restaurants, boutique local production shops and even few fashion stores. The center operates in Saturdays.

Very interesting is the Museum of Whiskey. You can see the big collection of different sorts and also have a degustation.

Where new meets old!
May 2019 • Friends
This is a reconstructed templar neighbourhood (german templars - not the templar knights) - the old settlements houses were actually moved 40m in order to expand the road and preserve the buildings! there are hidden gems here like wineries, olive press and an old well - take a tour to learn about the history of this place (these people were actually nazis...)

Once a German settlement
Feb 2019 • Couples
German Templars founded this little place and in the last years 30 building were reconstructed in their original form. There is a small museum too. It is very funny to walk in this area where 2 storey buildings are around and than you see the bit skyscapers wich are on all side of the territory

All in One: tour, shop, eat, learn, play...
Jun 2018 • Friends
Sarona is remarkable for having so much to do in such a small area.

Since its establishment Sarona has played a key role in the life and times of the Holy Land, Israel and Tel Aviv, and it now thrives as a historical garden park, shopping mall, food mall, historical site with mini museums, children's play area and fine dinning/pub venue. Take a tour to get the full story or just stop by the Visitors' Center - come by car, taxi, bus or rail - on a schedule or just to chill-out.

In other words: enjoy!
