Dating from the reign of Ramesses II, 13th Century BC, when an Egyptian garrison was ensconced in this region. This partial gate ruin reflects the lengthy, historical importance of the Jaffa Port area throughout the millennia. This is one of the many ancient treasures within a relatively small area that should be searched out while you walk and explore Old Jaffa.

This site sees to be overlooked by almost all the tour groups despite the fact they walk so close to it. This is a great pity since it is the impost historical place in the whole era, with a gate dating back to the time of Ramses II. The site is small, but worth visiting, and the view of Tel Aviv is the best anywhere.

This is probably the highest spot in Jaffa and gives some nice views. The modern gate is an impressive piece of sculpture but the park itself is not much to look at. There are a few benches but not much shade.

The gate garden is an archaeological site where an ancient Egyptian gate from a building was discovered. The original gate has been replaced with a replica. It's interesting what was uncovered here, but the gate and the site itself is not much to look at.

In a nice park you will find this replica of Ramses II gate. To be very honest without knowing the backround it is nothing to admire.

This historic area was part of a larger garden area. Interesting to see, but walk through ALL of the gardens. It is a great reflecting point on Egyptian history and the historical aspect of this city

This is the place to appreciate what an immense history lies behind Old Jaffa. It is just one artifact within it's archeological context, but it's cultural meaning is huge. Very appropriate to pay some respect on your way to an awesome lookout point on a hill beside it, where you get a breathtaking view of TA!

Abrasha park is a beautiful place that has many landmarks in a small space - both ancient ruins and modern sculptures.

The park itself is a regular park, very small. I guess the main point of it is the gates. But there is also a Wishing bridge near by, and a very nice view of the Tel Aviv skyline. It is especially impressive at night.
