Great for first time visitors to get the feel of ancient Jaffa.

I have been here about 4-5 times. Many exhibits are for children - Paper super heroes, Play doh, Dolls - all were excellent, with some activity for the kids. So, I do suggest checking out what's the current exhibit, as it is usually worth a visit. And of course, the location is perfect - a lovely view of the coastline, and a short walk to the Jaffa flea market.

Unfortunately we weren't luck enough to see the museum's exhibits. The museum is open for individual visitors only 3 days a week –Thursday thru Saturday. My family has made a special trip from out of town on a Thursday and was extremely disappointed to find out that the museum had not been opened due to a closed event without any notification on its website, Facebook webpage or their voicemail. We've tried calling the museum but other than the standard voice message we were unable to reach any representative. We find it to be unprofessional.

We were walking in nice place Old city Jaffa and saw on the map info about this museum. We are fans of museums and visit their when there is any possibility. Unfortunately this museum disappointed us. The antiques collections are very small, poor and non interesting. To my mind it cannot cost 30 ILS per person.
Only traveling exhibition of arigato was interesting.

Just opened recently. It is well done for tourists and there are tours in there. It is located under the Kedumim Plaza which is the main square of Jaffa.

Small enough to gather appreciation for artefacts without exhausting oneself. architecturally enchanting. Frequently art exhibits are on offer adding to the visual and cultural feast

Tour guide thought funding was the problem and no word on the possibility of if and /or when it would re-open.

The museum goes unnoticed even if it is right off the jaffa promenade. Its small sign is hardly noticeable. It is found in the same building as a jewish-arab theatre. Located in an old ottoman building they hold an impressive (but small) archeology collection. Now they have a very good exhibition with works of two ethiopian-israeli artists in their main hall, the linking of contemporary art and antiquities works well. Oh and the entrance is free! The place is small so no need to plan on much time for it

Great little museum directly at the sea.
Nice place to eat after the visit outside on the huge garden or just to drink a beer.
Really old building combined with modern glass.
