After a disappointing trip to the local museum, it was refreshing to see such beautiful work by local artisans. This was worth the trip. We saw so much creativity and artistry. The items here can get a bit pricey, but they are hand crafted.

We love strolling through the artist area on a Friday. It's packed with tourists looking for hand made Israeli artsy products to bring home to family and friends. And they have some awesome and unique findings.

Most of the vendors have been here for years. They speak English well and prices are fare.

Be aware that bottled drinks are for sale are Disney level prices.

Also take the next street over and explore the Carmel Market! It is like an episode of Anthony Bourdain filled with yelling vendors, spices, fruits and vegetables, fresh squeezed juices, junky clothes and the like!

This pedestrian walk is home for some of old Tlv garment district and the eclectic style of building. On Tuesdays and Fridays it holds an arts and crafts fair which is an excellent place to get local art or a unique piece of jewelry as well as gifts for the ones at home. Enjoy street performers and sometimes live music or kids shows.
It holds a mix of old and new, buildings, shops, cafes and restaurants. Don't miss out on the icecream place located halfway through the main drag.

From Jaffa Road in the South to Magen David square in the north, Nachalat Binyamin Street if one store, coffee shop and restaurant after another. It is easy to walk. On Tuesday and Fridays ther is a craft fair. We found some great jewelry and art to purchase. Some of the best restaurants are on the street as well. The street intersects with the Ha Carmel market at Magen David Square. Fun clean and very safe area

It takes place twice a week, and so check their website for the dates (Jewish holidays might interfere). There are many local artists displaying their variety of crafts. Some you can pass by, other are worth a look, and still others are amazing. There really is something most preferences, and whether I buy a anything or not is actually not that relevant, because there is a lot of creativity and funky ideas to admire and enjoy.

The location is very central to Tel Aviv, and has plenty of things to do around. Cafes and restaurants, and the great Carmel Market on a parallel street that is worth a visit.

Go. Have fun.

Back in 2012 I purchased a handmade leather bracelet from an artisan that I have since lost. It was a beautiful dark brown bracelet made from Italian leather with an old (lion) coin used as the closure. I have searched online, but can't seem to find anything quite like it or anything about that specific artisan. If anyone knows what I am talking about by description and can put me in touch with the artisan for a replacement I would be very grateful.

This artisan market and nearby shuk are a must visit for anyone who finds themselves in Tel Aviv.

On Tuesdays and Fridays there is a wonderful crafts market on this street. There are many artists who sell their artwork - jewelry, Judaica, accessories, toys and much more. Many unique gift opportunities. In the surrounding area there are many restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy.

This is no mall, it's a market, mostly crafts which make great gifts, and is held twice a week. Further down the street is the materials area of Tel Aviv, where beautiful lengths of different types of cloth can be bought for curtains, furnishing and clothing. The 'mall' joins the 'shouk' (market) at the top end for clothes and household goods at the top end and food at the lower end. This is always a great part of a visit to Tel Aviv.

Oh Gosh! you have to walk through this area and into the Carmel Market. Or start at the other end and finish here with a beer or any cool drink. The market streets are the best ever and the variety of foods will lighten up the saddest day. The displays! The stalls laden with trinkets of every kind - its as if you stepped into an old Aladdin movie - yes there are even djinn lamps on some of the stalls! Go - splash out and spend a few shekels!
