The street art fair is beautiful and pleasant, albeit pretty crowded on Friday afternoon. It's a nice place to see the beautiful old buildings of Tel Aviv and creative artwork of various types, done in good taste and good humor.
The mediocre review is only for the glass artist Atali Levi. He sold us a beautiful piece of glass art, an image of two hummingbirds. He did not provide bubble wrap and did not advise us to wrap it with clothes in the suitcase, he said the carton box he gave us was sufficient.
When we got home we were upset to find that it broke (several big cracks) đ đ
I contacted Atali and sent him photos. He wrote he was sorry but declined to offer a partial refund (since his packaging was inadequate). He said he would give us a discount next time we visit (which was useless since we only visit once a few years). Atali also refused to mail us a replacement even when I offered to pay.
It's beyond the money we wasted, it's a disappointment, both by the breakage due to mediocre packaging, and the bad customer service. Tourists should consider this when buying artwork at Nahalat Binyamin.

I'm not new to this area but always enjoy taking a walk through the Nachalat Benyamin Mall. A great place for buying gifts, Judaica, and all kinds of handmade crafts from soaps and jewelry to handmade pottery wall art. Don't miss if you're in Tel Aviv on a Tuesday or Friday morning.

This was a pleasant several blocks to walk through. There were restaurants but the main draw were the tables where artists were selling their ware. The actual crafters were the ones selling their product and were willing to explain their craft. There were no people calling you over or being pushy. Pricing was a wide range.

Very nice place to eat, visit small boutiques and enjoy vibrant nightlife. Almost all cafes, bars and restaurants are opened on Shabbat - such a wonderful contrast with pretty much dead streets of Jerusalemâs Center. Loved the vibe and energy of the young crowd enjoying their free time.

Tuesdays and Saturdays Many vendors with their handmade crafts. Quite varied and some quality wares. Not only are the vendors interesting but the houses on this street are quite pretty. Closes early on Saturday for Shabbat.

Back in 2012 I purchased a handmade leather bracelet from an artisan that I have since lost. It was a beautiful dark brown bracelet made from Italian leather with an old (lion) coin used as the closure. I have searched online, but can't seem to find anything quite like it or anything about that specific artisan. If anyone knows what I am talking about by description and can put me in touch with the artisan for a replacement I would be very grateful.
This artisan market and nearby shuk are a must visit for anyone who finds themselves in Tel Aviv.

From Jaffa Road in the South to Magen David square in the north, Nachalat Binyamin Street if one store, coffee shop and restaurant after another. It is easy to walk. On Tuesday and Fridays ther is a craft fair. We found some great jewelry and art to purchase. Some of the best restaurants are on the street as well. The street intersects with the Ha Carmel market at Magen David Square. Fun clean and very safe area

It takes place twice a week, and so check their website for the dates (Jewish holidays might interfere). There are many local artists displaying their variety of crafts. Some you can pass by, other are worth a look, and still others are amazing. There really is something most preferences, and whether I buy a anything or not is actually not that relevant, because there is a lot of creativity and funky ideas to admire and enjoy.
The location is very central to Tel Aviv, and has plenty of things to do around. Cafes and restaurants, and the great Carmel Market on a parallel street that is worth a visit.
Go. Have fun.

On Tuesdays and Fridays there is a wonderful crafts market on this street. There are many artists who sell their artwork - jewelry, Judaica, accessories, toys and much more. Many unique gift opportunities. In the surrounding area there are many restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy.

rather than drive from Zichron Ya'akov to Tel Aviv to visit the Binyaman market, and deal with the hassle of parking, I thought taking the train would be something different and easier. Along with Binyaman we'd like to wander the Old City. Or is the market IN the old city. I want to wander the little streets and soak up the atmosphere.
At any rate, which train station is within the closest distance to Binyaman mkt AND is it walkable? Elsewhere I think I read that a bus might need to be taken from the train station to closer to the market. If so, it starts to get a little complicated. Would someone please give me specific direction from the TA station to the mkt and then to where to go to walk a picturesque section of Old Jaffa. The kind of area those charming photos on the internet of pretty streets, arches and old architecture are taken in. We leave 3 weeks from today.

In 2016 I purchased a handmade leather bracelet from an artisan. It is a beautiful dark brown bracelet made from Italian leather with an old (lion of Judah) coin used as the closure. Can anyone put me in touch as I would like to have it mended. I have worn it every day and I really miss wearing it. I would be really grateful for any help

I suggest you go to an artist in the UK or are you now missing the Lion of Judah closure?
