I just toured Israel with small group and we were really lucky to get a fantastic guide thru Rent a Guide. His name is Meni Tzabari, and not only did he enlighten us with his insightful, scholarly knowledge, he kept us laughing and took us to places not even on the itinerary! He is a born story teller and wowed us over and over again, bringing to life the history of all the sites we visited. Meni was warmly welcomed by workers and friends in every city and town we hit! I would highly encourage anyone to ask for Meni if they need a guide in Israel. He is as good as it gets!

I wish I could give Dubi 10 out of 5 stars because we had an amazing trip. We spent 8 days in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv with a couple of day trips and it was absolutely incredible. Dubi knows everything and everyone and he quickly sized up my husband and I and adjusted an already wonderful itinerary to be absolute perfection — all the major sites, plus wine tasting, the best hummus and the best falafel, and lots of quirky sites (the Shavuot parade at the kibbutz /the Heart of Dixie in the shuk / the private tour of the Uri Geller museum / The Elvis gas station / Meeting Dr. Shakshuka himself/having David Miro make a bracelet for me!). Dubi knowledge was encyclopedic and his stories are fascinating, the pacing was impeccable, his organization and attention to detail was impressive. I am a planner and it a way an absolute joy to be able to just leave it all in Dubi’s capable hands. He was always on time, his van is very clean and comfortable, and best of all, Dubi has a great sense of humor and is very fun to hang out with. We can’t wait to go back and spend more time with Dubi!!

Had a private tour with my wife and another couple of friends, we enjoyed it so much that we'll take a longer tour version the next time!
Dubi is an excellent guide that knows every little piece of information about every site and place we visited and he sure knows how to share it with us. (I can say we're not easy haha :) )
Kept it very professional, super accurate with times, and super comfortable.
Highly recommended!
Thanks!

We wished to make our first visit to Israel in November 2011 a truly memorable occasion. The considered approach was to travel safely in a small group at a reasonable cost with a knowledgeable guide. Meeting all of these requirements by searching online might appear to be a big gamble, but the web site www.dubitours.com looked appealing and was found to more than live up to expectations.
Arrangements were made promptly and efficiently with the added comfort of knowing that modifications to the proposed itinerary could be accommodated as desired. On the first day our small group of six made the trip from Haifa to Jerusalem and Bethlehem - a long day but made in the comfort of Dubi's van, which he drove most expertly and with all due caution. His continual commentary covered the passing landscape and the many sites of historical and religious significance, as well he answered expertly all questions. He also proved to be most useful in assisting in the purchase of several mementos.
The second day's Christian Heritage tour from Haifa to the Sea of Galilee was more relaxing but none the less interesting. Dubi seemed to anticipate our every wish and would improvise as the occasion demanded. After two days we all felt that we had found a true friend.
Israel is considered to be a country definitely worth a longer visit and to derive the optimal benefit our choice for a guide undoubtedly would be Dubi Fishler.

Background: Our family trip to Israel was a spur of the moment (3 weeks) decision. We vetted a number of tour companies and clicked with Dubi through email/phone conversations. Our trip was for 10 days and included my son's Bar Mitzvah at the Wall and a visit to a Kibbutz where I had spent a summer 30 years before.
Logistics: We loved having a private guide. From the seamless airport arrangements to his luxury van transportation and hotel recommendations to his ability to "figure us out," I have to say Dubi was exceedingly professional, knowledgable, flexible and very familiar with times/distances/details of packing in an amazing 10 days of touring. He has beautiful and nuanced English and a wealth of stories both personal and historical that deeply enhanced our time together.
Experience: We are an active and adventurous family which Dubi considered daily. He took us to off the beaten path to eat at the best "dives," on various hikes and nature oriented adventures and connected us with an amazing jeep tour in the Golan. Caliber 3 in Gush Etzion and the Blind Museum in Holon were other highlights our kids really enjoyed.

We have had fantastic private tour guides in many parts of the world. Dubi is in a class of his own.
We visited site after site. Dubi is incredibly well organized. As soon as we turned up, an English language tour was ready for us.
In between sites, Dubi drove us in his very comfortable van which was equipped with everything from wifi to a refrigerated cooler.
Dubi was amazingly efficient with time. We saw many sites throughout each day and continued to feel refreshed and eager to learn more and see more.
We had unusual needs and Dubi was fantastic in helping us.
I never dreamed that such a guide could exist.

We just returned from a magnificent trip to Israel. Dubi was our guide for 8 days. He was wonderful. By having a private guide, it made touring so much easier. Both the grandparents and our young children were able to enjoy this trip. Dubi created a tour for us that highlighted everything for a first time extended family visiting this wonderful country. I would highly recommend him. He was also very easy to reach via email and phone prior to our trip.

Dubi is the best! He’s a historian, an archaeologist & a psychologist, as well as an expert tour guide. His depth of knowledge on all things Israel is amazing.

We just returned from a private tour of Israel and we went from the top to the bottom and across the entire country. Our tour was a bit unconventional and Dubitours gracefully accommodated us. If you want to tour Israel a private tour is the best way. Dubi, our tour guide, was phenomenal. He was professional, flexible, knowledgeable and a genuinely good guy. I would highly recommend him. My husband and I are planning to return to Israel and see a few things that we missed. Of course we will go with Dubi. He is the absolute best!

Are there any travel advisories to the middle east in effect right now?

Not that I'm aware of; you can check each country at state department. Sorry, I can't include the links.
If you tour Israel with Dubi Fishler at DubiTours you'll be safe. He's very experienced, knowledgeable, and a big guy. We also liked our female guide in Egypt (Luxor and Cairo), Nahla at Tours-By-Locals.

We are thinking about a tour between Dec. 28 an Jan 11 for a week. Party of four: two retires and our two daughters in their early 20's. If you are available, can you give me a ball-park figure for the four of us with two hotel rooms. I assume we book our own airfare separately?
