So we arrived in Tel Aviv 18 hours late with very little sleep. We checked into our hotel, showered, walked 1.5 hours to the meeting area ( don’t worry, you can take a cab if you want!) and did our 3.5 hour bike tour of Tel Aviv. Being outside and exercising was the best way to overcome jet lag!
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Ofer. The bikes were comfortable, the ride was flat and on bike paths (Tel Aviv is so bike- friendly). We passed so many places beginning with a ride through HaYarkon park then onto the Port of Tel Aviv, the Promenade, down to Old Jaffa, the old train station, Neve Tzedek, the “white city”, city hall and Rabin square, Rothschild street, and more. We heard about the history of Tel Aviv-Yafo and each of the neighbourhoods we visited. We stopped for food and beverage breaks and just to get off our bikes to sit and listen to stories about the areas we were visiting. Ofer was very knowledgeable and personable, answering all our questions. It was just the perfect way to start our visit to Tel
Aviv!
