Small and rather expensive.
Feb 2018 • Couples
This is a rather posh market, which is both small, cramped and expensive.
While the products look absolutely wonderful with vibrant colors and freshness, the place isn't a destination on its own and could be visited for a couple of minutes only if you're in the area.

Best Shuk in Tel-Aviv (especially for your fresh produce)
Feb 2018 • Couples
Truth be told, we've been to this place on many, many occasions (and keep on coming back!).

The inside shops tend to be a bit on the expensive price, but do know you get value for your money. Very good & fresh produce.

The outside shops (from the farmers) are a bit cheaper, and also offer very fresh products. The variety you can find here is impressive, especially for the size of some shops (some can be best described at miniature shops & are often not more than a few square meters in size).

The atmosphere here when we go (on Fridays's normally) is always very good, friendly people working there & yes, you want the good produce, you come here & pay a little bit more.

There are also some nice places to eat something little around. We personally like to eat a good sandwich from Lewkowicz Charcuterie & often take some of their cold-cuts home with us.

Looking for a great shuk in Tel-Aviv? Want fresh produce? Go here, you won't regret it!

A wonderful experience!

Every Friday, my wife and I go out into nature and enjoy a 5 – 10 kilometer hike, and this past Friday we chose to hike along the Mediterranean Sea – on the Tel Aviv Promenade. We parked in the parking lot (pay) adjacent to the Yarkon River and began our hike by walking southwest straight towards the Farmers market (we’ve been here 7 or 8 times before so we knew where it was). This market is a miniature version of some of the farmer’s markets that can be found all over Europe and the USA. For some reason it very much reminds me of a similar 10-times bigger market in Budapest, Hungary. After spending a half-hour looking and buying and eating at food stands, we came to our usual conclusion that the products and food sold here may be more expensive than usual, BUT ARE WORTH IT in terms of the quality and tastiness of the food and the comfy old-world feeling of the marketplace (as opposed to the “modern”, “sterile” supermarket). We bought cheeses and halva and salty cheese pastries, and without doubt, they were some of the best we had ever tasted. In the past we have bought other products and food as well, and have always walked away happy and satisfied.
TIP: Check out the schmaltz herring (salty fish) sandwich stand. On Fridays and Saturdays (the Israeli weekend), the lines are long, but worth the 10 - 20 minute wait! That’s how long you would wait for your food to be served in a restaurant, right?

Exquisite mediterranean food, best I ever had!

The place within the Food Market is called simply Italian Food, local cuisine. I wish I had a more precise name. "Italki Mekomi" in Hebrew.

I don't how they get that perfection, but I was told one of the secrets is the best olive oil. The greens, the grapes, the tomato, the mozzarella, the fish: best of the best.

If you are curious about food, that's the place for you! perfect scenery too. I tried a few dips I had to take home, olive-based spreads with a lovely country bread. Organic fruit popsicles was a big hit in our family too!
