This museum is an amazing hidden gem of history and art! Cilia tells the very heartwarming and meaningful story of her parents’ escape from the concentration camps. The house is preserved from the time that her father used it as an animation studio, and his paintings as well as his books and poems are on sale. If you are in Tel Aviv and are looking for something of substance to do, this is a must-visit.

The visit to Joseph Bau House has been a very moving and unique experience. We had never heard about him and his wife and were surprised to hear how being themselves inmates of a polish Ghetto and concentration camps, they managed to help other people. in the same situation, keeping their faith and confidence. Their creativity, resilience, humor, love for each other are an example. Joseph Bau continued serving the State of Israel after the war working for the Mossad as a forger of documents. This small museum conserves the soul of these people. We were very thankful to be able to hear live history from the daughters of this wonderful couple. We cannot understand how this museum can be in danger of disappearing because of shortage of money to keep it running. We can only hope that either the State of Israel. or some powerful sponsor will appear and save this museum from disappearing into oblivion. It is a threat to "live History!

The place is very cool, with tons of creative and meaningful art. The owners of the museum are very kind and the stories told are both shocking and unbelievable. They also have air conditioning.

Great place for creative people and graphic designers.

100% recommend.

What a magical experience filled with tragedy, love and humor. His daughter took us through Joseph’s harrowing story, illustrating his commitment to the Jewish people, his family and his art. What a talented and amazing man. We are so fortunate that his daughters have carried on his legacy. This was one of my favorite experiences of my trip to Israel.

Located in a small apartment in the center of Tel Aviv, with plenty of parking nearby, is this hidden gem. What really makes the place come alive are the two daughters of Joseph Bau who are energetic, inspiring and captivating. The story of Joseph Bau helps one understand Israel's modern history in the 20th century: from Holocaust to Indepence.
45-60 minutes spent in the place are well worth you time and money.

Having lived in Tel Aviv for 20 years, I thought I had been to most museums. But this gem of a museum is tucked away, not well known, and yet a place that shouldn't be missed. The story of Joseph Bau and his wife is an amazing one. It shows the strength and determination of our people as exemplified by this man. The story, told by Joseph's daughter with such admiration and love, is one which you will not forget. Instead you will want to read his books, look at his paintings and learn more about this wonderful man.

Amazing story of a gifted artist who, together with his wife, survived the Holocaust and immigrated to Israel. He used his talents to get Jews out of Nazi-occupied Europe. After the establishment of the State of Israel, he contributed much to its security in the country's secret services. Because of the nature of his work, he remained anonymous. Incredible story.

the Joseph Bau House is an absolutely wonderful museum. the daughters of Joseph and Rebecca Bau retell the story of their parents and share memories with care and tenderness that are truly outstanding. this place is so full of love, and joy, and emotion - but it also tells a story of strength, determination, and the power of miracles - and laughter.
not only is Joseph Bau’s art fascinating, but hearing about him and his works from his own daughters is an amazing experience. i loved every second we spend there.
