I did the Old City Tour and the Masada Dead Sea Tour the next day which was rerouted due to weather, so we didn’t go to Masada.

Both tours were scheduled perfectly, jam packed with lots of sites. However, both guides seemed to know a little bit about a lot of things. It would have been nicer to get a bit more in depth information, but they did still guide us for full days tours with constant talking.

Two complaints- the first guide was constantly pushing the agenda of his own YouTube channel which didn’t feel appropriate, and the second guide was often a bit short with people in the group. It would have been nicer if he was a bit more optimistic and positive.

Also both tours had prearranged gift shop spots which were far more expensive than other shops with similar items. Be prepared to spend 45mins of each tour being forced to shop there, and have only one option for lunch as well. This is fine, but would be better if lunch costs were included in the overall price.

Thanks for this constructive feedback. We are regretful that the road to Massada was not accessible therefore the tour itinerary redirected. Thanks for the mention that a certain guide should be Less insistent on his own agenda. Shop stops are also bathroom stops.

The tours are well organized. The Tourist guides were mostly polite, but there was one guide who was very sarcastic and degrading when answering a couple of my questions. I really did not appreciate.
Some of the tours I went on were very interesting, however, the tour to Bethlehem was a waste of money. I had to do back on an individual tour to Bethlehem just to see what everyone goes there to see. The place were they say the Messiah was born. We missed out on it with the Bein Harim Tour, because we spent too much time at the gift store. They tend to go to the gift store on every tour, because they get (from what I was told by another tour guide), about 30 percent of the profits. So, when they make you stay in the gift store for 30 minutes or more (in order to get more profit off your purchases), it takes away from what you came there to see. And for the tour to Bethlehem, I felt like it was a waste of time and money. They need to allow the tourist to see everything they paid for first, before taken them to the gift shops. I think many other tourist companies also do this, I just really disliked it. I went on several tours with Bein Harim, most were great, except for the one to Bethlehem.

Thanks for sharing your overall satisfaction with the tour services and our guides. We are glad you enjoyed the locations visited. we are extremely disturbed by what you write about the Bethlehem tour. The shop and bathroom stop should be 15 mins only. We are most disturbed by what you claim regarding the stop there and will certainly investigate it fully. Glad the rest of the time and tours were much to your satisfaction.

We spent a week in Israel in December last year (2019). We did 4 of the daily tours. This allows us to cover a large part of the country, and it covered everything we were particularly interested in seeing. Considering it is such an expensive country, the tours were very good value. We had a different Tour Guide each day. They were all excellent. We particularly recall Solomon & Avi, both were very passionate about their country and ensuring we all had a great day. We chose to spend a little bit extra and go on the smaller group tours, which I'm glad we did so there wasn't too much waiting around at different sites. My only criticism is the lunches - they aren't included which is fine but each day you get ushered into a restaurant with a set menu and it's difficult to refuse. Some of the lunch stops are good value, but I think everyone should be given more information about it & more of a choice rather than feeling there is no option.

Dear Kym, thanks SO for making the effort and time to share despite the lapse in time to Express your satisfaction and gratitude for the tour services you received. We appreciate your sharing the guides who were professional and skilled tour managers. Regarding designated restaurants for lunch stops, on a group tour its essential to keep everyone together, as it's so easy to get lost, cause delays and disrupt the schedule. We have much experience in this and these are the best options available in most cases. Yes the menus are to cater for groups in a specific time slot. These are trying times for the entire tourism industry and we hope to back on board very soon.

The positive: sites are amazing, tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly
The down sides: booked English tour (have different times and dates depending on which language you want the tour in) but they put one French couple on the tour as well. This means the tour guide was limited in the information he could give as there was time allotments plus often ended up saying the same thing 2 or 3 times (because he understandably probably forgot what he had told us, since he had to do the tour in 2 languages while driving).
We did not pay for the extra for the tour meal in Akko, as we wanted to let our children pick what they wanted to have. The tour guide brought us to a restaurant and told us he was going to "tell us what is going to happen", what we believed was how much time we had for lunch and where to meet. Suddenly they started serving all of us and the guide said "he got us a good deal". He never asked if we wanted lunch there or not. As people did not know the "customs for eating" in these sort of restaurants, they started using their utensils they had just stuck in their mouths to take the food off of the shared serving plates. Needles to say, we did not eat much and this was not "a good deal" for us". (never mind one of our children did not like that sort of food so ate nothing).

Dear 30degrees, We are sorry that this was the nature of the tour you experienced. Our guide surely deserves more credit for his efforts etc. Pity that you mention the hour of lunch that spoiled this rating of a whole day? It is clearly listed some of our tours can be bilingual but certainly doesn't take away from the quality of the commentary, the guide being skilled to do this. It is most unfortunate that there was a misunderstanding regarding the lunch meal. Firstly it is always an organized stop on a group tour, we don't have too many options of places that can cater for groups of all sizes and as we cannot let travelers wander off on their own. This should not be the case, the guide should be clear with instructions regarding this. We will need to investigate this further. Sorry to read what you describe as unhygienic too, this too well investigate. You could definitely have NOT paid for what you didn't consume, that was up to you Sincerely, Bein Harim Tourism Services team

I booked this tour, since I am in Israel for the first time and didn't know my way around. However, even if I had been before, I would still recommend doing this tour! The guides (Zahi Shaked and Martin) and driver (Avi) were all top quality and went above and beyond to make sure we were all safe, enjoyed ourselves, and recieved the absolute best views of each historic landmark. It was especially important to me also that we were given the most objective and comprehensive view of this Holy Land, learning about the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian experiences here from locals and adherents of each faith. I am so glad I booked the trip and would recommend it to anyone looking to come to Israel and appreciate its multi-cultural, multi-religious, and multi-faceted history, past and present!

This day trip greatly exceeded my expectations for a group tour. Masada fortress is spectacular, with lots of history and incredible views. The Dead Sea beach area is fun to walk around and shop. Pro tip - visit the nearby decommissioned army base to see some of the best street art and graffiti anywhere in the world.

Our tour guide Dan Porges did a great job of keeping the group on track while providing useful information and relevant stories. He also expanded the itinerary a bit by taking us to a couple of nearby overlooks with amazing views.

Fun day, great photography, great guide. Highly recommend this tour.

Our first time in Israel, so many things to go to and explore. But where to start? We took offcourse the beaten track but experienced it wasn't beaten at all because of a great guide Yoav Malachi. A comic, a historic expert, a teacher,a connector and a great guy to spend a day with. Informed from the very beginning untill the very end (and that wasn't back in Tel Aviv but when we hopped into the van in Jerusalem for our way back and most of us fell asleep). Yoav talked, drove, organized and controlled the group in a profssional way but also in a very, very nice way (peeing time, eating time, photo time, clear rules and clear timelines). So if you want to see, hear and learn more about Israel, Jerusalem and Bethlehem within 12 hours; book Bein Harim and ask for Yoav Malachi. You won't regret it a minute. Thanks! We'll be back.

I have to say, it didn’t start well. I did wait in the morning at the meeting point in Jerusalem (the TRYP BY WYNDHAM Bat Sheva hotel) for one hour. At the hotel’ s Reception I was told that “ they are always late, don’t worry”. Finally a taxi was sent to take me at another meeting point where everybody else were waiting for me, embarrassing moment event if it was not my fault.
Luckily, the moment the tour started everything changed for better and this was because of Norbert, our guide. The best guide you could hope for a tour of the old city. He was knowledgeable, funny and easy to follow, everyone was mesmerized by his stories. Thank you, Norbert!

Highly recommend this tour; amazing experience. Dan Porges (our guide) was one of the best that we had during our 4 days in the Holy Land; Dan read passages from the Bible, only to then point to the area which was cited. Fantastic! It is a long day for sure but well worth every minute. We also visited a kibbutz which sold olive oil products; I usually shy away from such stores on a tour but actually ended up buying some of their products! Can't recommend this highly enough.

We had a full day from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv and then north along the Coast. Our guide Dorit was enthusiastic and quite knowledgeable about the history and lore of the region. Our four stops were quite varied, including the archaeological ruins in the Roman city of Caesaria, the Bahai Gardens in Haifa, the sea grottoes on the Mediterranean at Rosh Hanikra, and the Crusader Village at Acre.
