Dor is an unbelievably knowledgeable and accommodating guide. We spent two weeks with him and were never bored or overwhelmed with information. He has a keen sense for when to inform and when to give his clients time to reflect and absorb in quiet. He assembled a wonderful itinerary for us that met the needs of three children (7 year spread) and their middle aged parents—adrenaline filled activities/ historical sites/ religious experiences/cultural interactions (Jewish/Christian/Muslim/Druze) that were hugely helpful in developing and appreciation and understanding of this complex and fascinating corner of the world. Unlike other guides who felt our itinerary was too ambitious, DOR found a way to make it all happen. We left much more knowledgeable than we came with our cameras filled with awesome memories!

Dor was amazing. He gave us 2 days tour in the north of Israel. We have started with gorgeos hike along Nahal Kaziv. Swam in refreshing pools of Kaziv river, went of beaten path to explore various ruins and to see breath taking vistas. We had authentic Drusik food (sambusak and alegefen, which was mazing) and for the cherry on top we went cherry picking in the cherry farm. Dor took care of every detail, for us what was left is to enjoy. He was supper frendly, warm and very well organised guide. Very quickly it started feeling that we are traveling not with guide but more like with a friend.

We are a couple from Tel Aviv, we wanted a hiking trip up north.
Dor was attentive to what we were looking for (delicious authentic foods and empty places in the nature).

Took us to a hidden spring with a huge pool in the middle of nature (we even discovered a fully preserved Ottoman-era canvas house)
We ate stuffed vine leaves in the Druze village (the most delicious I ever had to eat)
Wonderful cherry picking and strawberries.

He has a lot of knowledge, patience and was just fun!
Highly recommend for couples who want to travel up north and look for a local experience

Had the most fascinating and fun day with Dor this week. We travelled all around the Kineret - saw sites that I have never been to before.
He was thoroughly knowledgeable and brought the stories of the places to life!

We even went to visit his uncles Mango farm and ate freshly picked mangoes! what a treat - Highly recommend Dor, and I am sure that I will be using him again.

Dor Pintel gets our highest possible recommendation. Even though our trip to Israel was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, the days we had with Dor were exceptional: he is very well-informed, responsive to requests, and has a superb sense of humor. Really, working with Dor is more like having a favorite cousin or uncle along. We will definitely use his services again!

Dor was professional, courteous, prompt and extremely knowledgable. We were on limited time and had kids with short attention spans, but he made plans that worked out great. We recommend him for any business or personal trip!

We used Dor Pintel as our guide in the Galil and especially the Golan. He was great. We were so pleased he took us to Gamla and Ein Kshatot -- the sites had so much more meaning with Dor at our side. He has an excellent understanding of the geology and history of the area, so his choices of sites were made even more interesting. Dor was able to tie together the various sites through his story-telling skills.
Dor set a very meaningful itenerary for us even while he maintained some flexibility around that itinerary to accommodate our timing, interest, and questions. He communicated clearly, and he listened and responded well to questions.
We were happy to have Dor as our driver.
In case it helps: we travelled as one middle-aged couple (traditional/modern orthodox) and one young couple (secular).

Highly recommended!

Dor possess the unique ability to share complex information in an engaging open manner.

His knowledge of Israel can only be described as encyclopedic. His presentation style engages and accommodates a wide audience, encompassing know-it-all teens to Israel-novices to Israelis-who-think-they-know-Israel.

Some background first: I, as well as others in my extended family, have lived on and off in Israel, but for the past few decades have called the US home. Last year, the extended family came to a group decision to take a multi-family to Israel trip to celebrate Bat Mitzvot on Masada. This was also an excellent opportunity to introduce Israel to family members who had never been there before.

I recall, during the early planning discussions, voicing my opposition to a guided tour. After all, I knew the country, or so I thought at the time, what could a guide tell me that I didn't already know after my IDF service and innumerable personal trips over many years?

I am so very glad now that my objections were voted down and we choose Dor to guide our trip, as it turns out that I didn't know nearly as much as I thought I did.

Dor knows the country and he knows how to present it all: the beautiful; the good; and even the bad.

Specific observations:

Language: Dor's command of the English language, especially for American audiences, is simply perfect.

The unArrogant Israeli: Dor breaks the mold of the stereotypical know-it-all Israeli. This is a very good thing as Dor understands that there are no 1) stupid questions, and 2) simple answers to complex problems.

Lack of bias: No trip to Israel can avoid the country's obvious complex history and contemporary political challenges. Dor navigates this mosaic with tact and diplomacy.

Patience: I was very impressed with Dor's patient demeanor. He had all the time in the world for our group, even when we squabbled amongst ourselves. Dor drove our minibus, and not once did he lose his temper while driving. For anyone familiar with Israeli drivers, this is truly a remarkable trait.

I would take another Dorway to Israel trip in a heartbeat.

My wife and I, as part of a two week independent tour of the mideast, recently spent three days with Dor on a private tour of the Galilee. By the end of our tour we both felt more then happy with his hard work on our behalf. Not only did we experience him as well versed in all that we were seeing, we also realized that having lived in the US earlier in his life, he was very comfortable and aware of our culture as well as his. In a sense, he was fluent in both, linguistically and otherwise. This made communication feel easy and natural, which was a good thing. He also struck us as a "good guy", easy to be with, intelligent, and honest. We had a great and memorable time. I would not hesitate to use him again when we next return to Israel.
