In late December we spent four days touring Israel with our guide Levi Zelkind. This was a customized private tour, which included Jerusalem, Cesarea, Acre, Jaffa, Tel Aviv, Masada Fort and a few other places (such as St. George's monastery and the baptism site, for example). We are a family of 4 and our younger son is disabled, so it goes without saying that planning such a tour posed certain challenges (not the least of which was the weather). Levi was extremely helpful in resolving these issues, which allowed us see everything that we planned to (and more).
To put this review in the proper context, I should point out that we have been doing private tours for almost two decades, in many countries and on every continent (with the exception of Antarctica, of course). Looking back at these experiences, I can say without hesitation that Levi was arguably the most interesting and informative guide that we had during this time. His knowledge extends well beyond local culture and history, and we had some delightful conversations on a range of other topics. Throughout the tour, he was able to seamlessly connect the many cultures and events that shaped the history of this ancient land, and link them to the places that we had seen. This is not easy, given the amount of information that needs to be conveyed.
When one visits a country with such a rich history one naturally has high expectations. It is therefore a pleasant (and rare) surprise when they are exceeded. For this, Levi deserves a "6th star" in my overall rating.

Your keen interest and great knowledge of History and Geopolitics both permitted me to share the information and opinions I very seldom have a chance to get to.

Private vehicle for the 4 of us and Levi customized the trip for our interests at the locations which was Christian based and tied to passages in the New Testament. Levi was extremely accommodating, not rushing us and giving us an opportunity for some extra stops along the way, taking pictures and answering questions. Levi know how to stay ahead of the long lines from the folks on buses, we got more sites and more time than on the initial itinerary because of him. Even the ride to and fro was very informative to learn more about Israel, the people and culture and a deeper dive into what it would have been like to live in Nazareth as Joseph and Mary, in Galilee as Jesus and an apostle…. Making it very relatable to current times. Many opportunities for restroom and water breaks as needed. Top notch tour, highly recommend!

My family and I just returned from an amazing trip to Israel, the highlights of which were our three separate full day tours with Levi: (i) Jerusalem; (ii) Sea of Galilee; and (iii) Dead Sea/Masada/Qumran.
Levi picked us up from our hotel promptly each day in his new, comfortable SUV, and catered to our every want and need in a professional and friendly manner through each of the very long, often hot, days.
Levi arranged a wonderful and comprehensive tour for our family that hit all of the key locations, and was extremely thoughtful and helpful to us every step of the way.
To say that Levi had knowledge of the history, politics, economics, religions, culture, and demographics, and nearly every factual detail concerning, every location we visited -- and passed by in the car -- would be an understatement. Levi had a deep understanding of EVERYTHING we asked about -- from the basic to the arcane. Levi could speak articulately and in great detail and depth on every topic, and do so in multiple languages. He is fluent in English, and has a tremendous intellect, wit and sense of humor that kept us entertained throughout. He also takes great pictures, and seems to know everyone at all the top tour locations (which can very helpful) -- and if he didn't know them, by the time we left a location, he was friends with them all. He is far and above the most experienced, professional, knowledgeable, humorous, jovial, and energetic tour guide we have ever had ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD (and we travel a lot).
We highly recommend booking any tours with Levi in Israel, and we cannot give him higher praise.
He is a true professional and great human being.

I am sitting here on the airplane waiting to depart Israel as I write this review, thinking of all that I witnessed in the last 7 days in Israel and the holy land. My family and I spent 5 full days with Levi, exploring biblical and ancient sites throughout the country. We visited places like Jerusalem, Jericho, Carpenaum, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Masada, Dead Sea, Jordan River and even crossed the border to Jordan to visit Petra. I cannot express enough how much of an amazing experience we had, Levi is well known all throughout Israel and everywhere we went we were welcomed and treated like part of his family. From the first moment when he picked us up in a very comfortable luxury car, we felt at ease and the history lessons began. Levi explained everything to us, from modern day politics to ancient and biblical history, telling us extensive stories of all the landmarks we visited. I was immediately in awe and captivated by all the history, myths and biblical stories of the holy land that are so unique and unlike any others in the world. The man might as well have a masters degree in Judaen history, I don't know how he holds all that information in his head and even knows alot of history about other countries as well. I ended up purchasing two of the books he wrote about the holy land and Israel history as I was so fascinated. As the family slept comfortably in the back of car while we drove from place to place, Levi and I spent hours discussing history, I love to ask questions and he loves to explain. I came to Israel with a very shallow understanding of the holy land and ended up leaving with a head full of knowledge. If you are trying to decide who to book your tour with, I hope this review will settle that decision. He is well connected throughout the country and we were able to access insider perks and were treated like locals everywhere we went. I am so glad we booked with him, thank you Levi!!!

First, we mistakenly booked the wrong date. Levi graciously re-scheduled for another day. I had a previous tour to Jerusalem and Bethlehem with another guide (who spent the entire trip talking with his friends on speaker and in Arabic) and it was less than fulfilling so I re-booked with Levi. Couldn't have been a better choice. Levi is very educated and well-traveled. He kept the conversation going and took us places the other fellow never even mentioned or showed us. He answered questions informatively and with passion. We enjoyed the trip so much that we booked the Galilee region for the next day. That trip was just as awesome. Levi Zelkind is awesome. Book without hesitation.

It was a totally informative experience touring Tel Aviv with Levi Zelkind. He brings history alive and clearly imparts his love of the city. He himself was fascinating to talk to. We wished we had more days to experience other areas with him.

Levi was a great guide, patient and someone who understands the needs of the customer and is able to custom tailor the tour to suit your taste/schedule. I only had a day in Israel and Levi was super flexible and custom tailored the day to suit my schedule and objectives. Levi is very knowledgeable in religious and historical significance of the various sites and is very engaging. Highly recommend Levi as a guide if you want a personalised tour of Israel.

Levi is a great tour guide who can customize tours to your liking. A very convenient ride and we had a good time with our 4 year old visiting holy places in Jerusalem. Levi is worth the price and recommended.

So good that Levi was available for another private tour, this time from Jericho along the Dead Sea down to Masada.
Following the excellent experience last time, I was sure that another amazing trip was awaiting me. And indeed, I would call it again a perfect journey.
We had a lot of fun, a smooth drive along gorgeous side roads and an ideal time schedule without pressure.
Levi is really the perfect travel companion and professional tour guide, teaching you about the rich history of all places of interest, explaining you the cultural background and keeping you in a relaxed and cheerful mood.
I am sure this was not my last tour with Levi - thanks for this unforgettable tour !

My second trip with ZBLT and all I can say is “Wow!” By far the best tour guide I have ever had. Friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, blends in all the cultural and historical facts, and really go far beyond the standard things those vanilla bus-load tours will show you.
Everywhere we went people would see us and exclaim “You are with the very best!” And they were so correct!
Whether alone or with your close friends or family, book your bible land experience here! You will always remember it, learn things no book will ever tell you, and treasure the experience forever!
