Gideon is treasure trove of knowledge on all that is Israel. We spent 5 days with him traveling through the country. He was able to bring the history of Israel alive and to help us gain a better understanding of the politics and religious groups that exist there. He made sure that we saw, and learned about, the most important sights. It is clear that he loves his job and his country! We rode in style in his new Mercedes van wherever we went. Gideon was very adept at weaving around the large tour groups and getting us to the sights we needed to see in record time. This made us feel like VIPs!! Gideon took excellent care of us during our time in Israel and we are very glad to have found him.

We title this review "GIDEON" because it was just one of our memorable moments in Israel. As we were touring Tel Dan we hear his name being called out from an area where an archeological dig was taking place. It was a UCLA professor hoping to get Gideon's attention. This is just one example of the strong relationships Gideon has with people - and the deep respect they have for his knowledge (of Israel, of geology, of history, of the various sites). Gideon didn't just share facts, he told the narrative which made history come alive. Alongside these stories he also shared some from his personal experiences, as a fighter in the Israeli army, the nation's struggle for independence and his family's contribution to his country.
Friends are like jewels, treasures, we pick up along life's way. Last week we were given one. Imagine going on what you believe will be an "informative" tour of Israel and walking away with all that plus an amazing person you can now call friend. Thank you so much, Gideon, we truly appreciate you and the time you spent with us!

We have been to Israel several times, always with a guide. Gideon was not only superbly knowledgeable, but was quite flexible. We are so impressed with his ability in managing the logistics at each site, finding shade and seating, and working with a small group that included first timers to Israel as well as those who have come often.

Gideon Har Harmon is an expert on Israel history and can relate to all backgrounds. He is Jerusalem born and raised, was an officer in the Israeli army, can speak several languages. He brings personal stories to touring and explains Israel’s complex history and lends his own family and cultural perspective to your travels. Gideon works very hard to give you your dream trip.

If you want to truly experience Israel, travel with Gideon! His knowledge of Judism, Christianity, history and arecheology is only surpassed by his kindness and concern. The hotels he books are superior. He brings the country to life for all who travel with him.

Guideon was a terrific guide..We all enjoyed his knowledge of the history of Israel and his ability to be flexible and accomplish so much in 3 days off the Celebrity Silhouette ship.
We all thank him for his help, guidance and great driving skills. From Jerusalem to Jaffe to Tel Aviv to Haifa to Zefat, every place was terrific. The lunches at local Israeli places were perfect. Thank you, Guideon.

We found Gideon after an exhaustive web search. We cannot think of a better guide in Israel than Gideon. He is 100% wired to the country, well versed in Israel’s ancient and modern history, has a GPS in his head, and has a great demeanor for a guide. He will work with you to find the best schedule that matches your interests. He is very flexible, funny, charming, and was able to relate to our younger kids as well as to elderly parents. In fact, we remained friends via email since our trip. Don’t think twice, Gideon is your guide in Israel.

Gideon was the guide for our church's private tour of Israel. He was with us for 14 days and we were fortunate to travel all over Israel with the exception of the south by the Red Sea. Gideon was extremely knowledgeable and is one of the guides who teaches new guides to become licensed. He is also former military. Even though he is Jewish, his knowledge of Islam and Christianity is vast and that helps us understand the conflicts as well as how these folks all live together. You will not go wrong in selecting him for your guide. However, if you are a shopper or you are always late in getting to where you need to be, he might not be the best for you. When we expressed that we wanted to see something not on the tour or had to do something when it rained out one stop, he was able to arrange for the group to see other sights!

The smile never leaves his friendly face as the knowledge of the magical land and her courageous people spill effortlessly from his golden tongue. The best of the best. We have toured with him extensively over the course of at least 10 years or more. To make alternative arrangements is deprive oneself of the ultimate Israel experience. One should add that he always has the latest and cleanest vehicle for the smoothest, most comfortable ride.

I visited Israel by myself and hoped for a guide who could give me an authentic experience highlighting the history, culture, and people. Gideon Har-Harmon exceeded my wildest dreams. Not only was he kind and considerate , but he was more knowledgeable than any textbook or guide book could ever provide. We spent 7 days on tour, and as he got to know my interests, he added attractions to my itinerary that were absolutely amazing. I will always remember this trip as life altering, mostly because of Gideon.
