Lovely campus with a perfect view of the city
May 2019
I was traveling with a predominantly Mormon tour group so this was a special stop for them and I enjoyed it very much. Had I not been with them, would not have thought to visit here. We saw a nice film first and then were taken in to the auditorium for a brief organ concert- wonderful. Then we went outside to enjoy the beautiful gardens and the views plus see the olive press equipment used to make olive oil. Very fascinating place to visit.

Fantastic!

After a long day of sightseeing in Jerusalem, we visited BYU Jerusalem Center and immediately recognized and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. We caught an evening concert there that was very well done and the views across the Kidron valley of the Temple Mount were excellent.

Concert series on Sunday evenings
Feb 2019 • Solo
If you will be in Jerusalem in a Sunday, I recommend going to one of their concerts. You can request tickets ahead of time (at no charge, but donations are appreciated). You can also go about 45 minutes before the concert for stand-by seating. The Center is beautiful. The concert hall’s expansive windows face Old Jerusalem— gorgeous!

Awesome view of Old Jerusalem
Nov 2018 • Business
We were fortunate to be able to stay at the center. The room was fine, not huge but adequate. There was a nice balcony shared with other rooms.

The cafeteria was good and it was fun to eat with the students who were studying there.

The chapel is amazing, looking out over Old Jerusalem across the Kidron Valley.

There are laundry facilities.

The BEST view of the Old City
Apr 2018 • Friends
I studied at the BYU Jerusalem Center for the first four months of 2018. Beyond any experiences I had in the program as a student, I would highly recommend visiting the Jerusalem Center if you are in Jerusalem.

Located high up on Mount Scopus along the Mount of Olives, the Center provides the best view of the Old City I have seen in all of Jerusalem. If you are so inclined, church services are held on Saturdays from 10 am - 1 pm. On other days, feel free to call the Center to schedule a tour! Their umber is +972 2-626-5666.

For your tour, you will be greeted by a missionary volunteer. You will watch a short clip about the Center and its role in the Holy Land. You will also go to the beautiful auditorium and hear a 3-song organ concert (which you won't want to miss--it's always beautiful), after which you will be led around the upper floors of the Center and the outdoor terraces. If you visit in the spring-summer months, the flowers will be in full bloom and the views are absolutely spectacular. In fact, many people come here to take professional photos---it's that beautiful.

If you are around on Sunday evenings, there is often a free or very cheap concert series featuring many world-class artists (I saw the Israeli philharmonic twice, as well as a multitude of jazz and classical artists). Be sure to call the Center for information.

If you're in Jerusalem, make sure to stop here. Beyond anything else, there is a special, peaceful feeling there. You can really feel the "holiness" of the Holy Land there. This will be my first stop when I return to the Holy Land again.

LDS -A must to attend sacrament meeting
Apr 2016 • Couples
We loved attending Sacrament meeting. It's so moving to partake of the sacrament overlooking the city of Jerusalem! Arrive early to allow time to walk around their gardens. The students attending there are so impressive and a delight to talk with!

Such a great feeling.

Some sites are dirty, dark, crowded, and commercialized. This place was such a wonderful, peaceful place. Our group of 14 had a reservation for a tour. We were greeted by an older gentleman who was a missionary. He showed us a movie to tell briefly about the area. Then we went in to the auditorium and had a short organ concert. Three songs that gave me goosebumps. It was beautiful. Then we were shown around the upper floors of the Center and taken outside to the gardens. Everything is clean and beautifully kept. I would highly recommend this as a stop in Jerusalem.
