Elad guided our 17-person group from Virginia Wesleyan University for 8 days. He made our trip to Israel better than I could have ever imagined. Elad allowed us to be spontaneous and flexible. I was able to relax no matter the situation or the unexpected disappointments or changes that came our way because I knew that Elad would make the experience enjoyable. He always had fun stories, experiences, and lessons ready to share, but at the same time, he had a desire to listen and let us think and come to our own conclusions. His passion for teaching and activism constantly shined through his words. Furthermore, he had a selfless desire to build the trip around what we wanted, always had patience, and constantly shared the excitement we had visiting places I'm sure he's seen hundreds of times. Words truly can't begin to describe how Elad aided my ability to learn, have fun, and experience Israel and Palestine to its fullest. He changed the way I view the world and inspired me in so many new ways. I recommend Elad to anyone but especially to those who desire a truly raw and enlightening trip to the Holy Land.

Thank you Elad for the care and love you showed to every person in our group!! It was truly a pleasure getting to know and listen to all your kindness, wisdom, and knowledge!

Elad is awesome! I went to Israel with a group of students from Virginia Wesleyan University for our Waging Peace course. Our topic of study was the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Elad introduced us to people not only on our list of speakers but also to others living their daily lives. Elad taught us so much about the people living in Israel as well as the history that brought us to where we are today. The trip we took wouldn't have been as great as it was without him.

Elad was with our group for 9 days and everyday he shared interesting and thought provoking information about the conflict, the people, both Palestinian and Israeli, and the country of Israel.
His tour is a conversation rather than a monologue. He teases you with pieces of the puzzle and helps you assemble it to make an amazing tapestry that is Israel.
I plan to meet with him the next time I and here to continue the conversation.
He gets 2 thumbs up!

Thank you so much for your dedication to the craft. You absolutely showed so much care for every individual in our seventeen person group. The way you taught was more than just informational, it was experiential, and it was more than just history. I feel as though I have learned how to better act as a person thanks to your wisdom and compassion. We took up so much of your time, and you were able to remain patient with our misunderstandings and assumptions, and you guided us to learn of the world in which we do not live. Thank you for welcoming us and on behalf of the group from Virginia Wesleyan University, thank you for teaching us. Hope to see you again someday!

Elad is highly knowledgeable and personable. He was able to relate to the Christians on my trip as well as me, the only Jewish member. He was conversant in the entire range of the many places we visited including Jewish, Christian, Palestinian and nature sites. He was able to communicate with our entire age range – from 25 – 70 years old.. He made us feel comfortable and welcome.

Elad went out of his way to meet our needs. He has an engaging and interactive style and is approachable and friendly.

Elad is a great guy. Traveling with him is like traveling with a good friend/family member.

Elad is not only a knowledgeable guide with excellent insight into Jerusalem, its history, and many anecdotes, but is also an active bridge builder between Palestine and Israel common people. He is an open, friendly and modern person. With his big heart and his own story, he listened to us and what we were looking for in particular (mystic experience, the big whole overview), and guided us for one day. We can only recommend him.

Elad's personal stories alone are worth the trip. He has an excellent understanding of history, an appreciation of nature and its beauty, a love of exploration and discovery. He has an uncanny ability to not just observe but to interact with the human and natural landscape around him. As an example, while explaining the history of the Damascus gate, a few Palestinian teenagers sat at the back of the group, giggling and listening. Elad engaged them in a friendly way, finding that one of them really wanted to be a tour guide someday. Elad said, "Well, why don't you give this part of the tour?" What followed was 20 minutes of an individual who passionately and tearfully explained how much Jerusalem and its history meant to him, what he felt as an Arab and a Muslim, his and his people's views towards the complexity of the conflict. Everyone parted as friends, Elad having just made a small connection; these kinds of connections enable conflict-riddled societies to find peace.

You can't find that kind of experience with some of the clunkier tour experiences.

I went to Israel and Palestine for the study abroad portion of my January Term course, with 14 other college students and our professors. Our course was called Waging Peace, focusing on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. There are a few reasons why Elad was such a great tour guide. One is that he is an incredible communicator and teacher. He taught us so much about ancient history and religion and was sensitive to the multiple perspectives that exist on the conflict in this region. Most tour guides would stop there, but Elad went far beyond that. What set Elad apart was how he pushed us out of our comfort zone in order to personally interact with locals to hear their stories. These personal elements were spontaneous and unplanned, but they were maybe my favorite parts of the trip. Elad was outstanding. After a trip to Israel and Palestine with Elad as your tour guide, you will never be the same!

Growing weary from my original bucket list of crowded tourist sites, Elad guided me through a tour that was much more personal and authentic. We visited Abugosh, an Arab-Israeli settlement teeming with history, culture and beauty, and its surrounding area. We went to an archaeological site for the Canaanites that was around 4,500 years old and featured impressively sophisticated agricultural and water tending systems....major treat for someone who majored in anthropology. We then visited a couple of remarkably preserved monasteries of major historical significance...because they weren't trampled by crowds of tourists, they felt much more like what they were intended to be, sanctuaries. Elad shared many memorable facts and histories, to underline the significance of each site. The whole experience was unforgettable. Recommend Elad in the strongest possible terms.
