It begins with a short movie introducing the place - you can ask for the language, but I didn't ask if there are any other choices other than Hebrew and English - then you tour the place and see why Herod The Great is called...More

Just outside Jerusalem, the drive gives you a sense of the split between Israel and the various settlements. The Herodion is a bit collapsed but enough remains to get the sense of the fortress and burial monument.

Such a well preserved site be sure to bring water with you and some protection from the sun. Beautiful view of the Dead Sea.

Visited the Herodyon Park as we had extra time before our Tunnel Tour. Not a must-do, but it's cool to see if you have time and are in that part of the city.
