Our family has toured with David three times! We are about to go on a 4th tour with him this November over Thanksgiving. We love David and consider him family. Our first tour 6 years ago we were lucky to get him randomly as a tour guide and he was amazing! Our kids were 8, 10, 12 and 13 and they were mesmerized by his stories and explanations and all of the things he chose for us to do. Every morning they would wake up early and corral us to the bus on time excited for the next adventure with David. They (and us) learned more from David than in all their years in Sunday School. We all left with a love for Israel and a great friend in David.
We came back again for two of our kids Bnai Mitzvah and then again for the youngest's Bat Mitzvah. Each time David had different activities and experiences for us. We recommend him to everyone we know and consider him a part of our family! My oldest son has spent this year during Covid in Israel on Year Course and David has been a point of contact for us willing to help us with information and answering any questions we have about the current situation at any given time.
I cannot overstate his knowledge, love of Israel and ability to communicate and connect with people of all ages! He will make your trip a once in a lifetime experience!

When looking for a tour guide, there is always a worry that you won't actually find one that truly enhances your trip, There is no doubt David Wexler made our trip even better than expected. When initially planning the trip, David likes to find out about the interests of the people in the group so that he can really personalize the trip to your liking. There are no cookie cutter itineraries. David has a way of planning the trip so that each place you visit builds on the previous places you have seen. He is an excellent story teller which many times brings you to the period that you are visiting. His enthusiasm for Israel is contagious whether it be from a Jewish or Christian perspective. I gained a tremendous understanding of the history of Israel and in my case, the Jewish people. I credit David for that. If you are looking for a private guide, I fully recommend you contact David!

We hired David for a weeklong tour of Israel and we couldn't have been happier. From the first contact we had with him months before our trip to the day we said goodbye, he provided the best information, guidance and overall care and expertise we could have asked for. We look for someone who will make suggestions to our initial itinerary thoughts and David did just that which made our week so much more rich and fulfilling. His knowledge of Israel, its history, religion, politics and culture is amazing. We spent four days in Jerusalem and two in the Golan Heights, including an incredible jeep tour of the Israeli/Syrian border that David arranged. I can't imagine hiring anyone more qualified and caring than David. You won't be disappointed.

Best tour guide we've had in many years of traveling abroad. Raised in the US, David obviously speaks perfect American English. He is an articulate historian as well as tour guide. In the rare case he couldn't answer a question, he had the answer by the next meeting, with sources. He is totally open to suggestions from the group about preferences and potential alterations to the agenda, and made them happen smoothly. He also gave little lifestyle tips that were very helpful: what to consider ordering in this restaurant, what to avoid, a special item offered for sale (but NEVER pushed any purchases at all) what the fitness level for this expedition should be. Always very clear about meeting times and places. He has my highest recommendation.

Our Southern California church group recently completed a 13 day Israel tour with David. 5 stars are just not enough to convey how much we appreciated ALL of David's expertise and knowledge. He made every day an adventure and a class on Israel history and Jewish religion and tradition. David was a true shepherd and now a true friend. Our church members are having a reunion next week and hope to "ZOOM" with our Holy Land mentor and guide.

David is an extremely knowledgeable, passionate and patient guide who we used for a 10-day family trip to Israel in December 2016. I would highly recommend him.

Our family of three recently returned from an 8 day tour of the holy land with David followed by 8 days on our own. From start to finish, David made our tour an unforgettable experience. His knowledge of Israel (past, present, and future hopes), the major religions, as well as of the geography, various minorities, and politics is incredible. Best of all, he is a joy to work with, both in the planning stage as well as throughout the tour. Our trip included our teenage daughter & David was spot on with recommendations & activities throughout the tour that kept her fully engaged.
Specifically, what we liked best about David is his love for Israel. His desire to guide in Israel is more like a calling for him. His knowledge of Israel is not just “head knowledge”. It’s clear his heart is entwined with Israel & her people and he loves to share his passion with others. What this means is that as we approached each site, David had fresh joy and appreciation for the history and what we were about to experience. We’ve been with tour guides in the past who approach a site with a more aloof attitude as they’ve “been there, done that” a hundred times. You never get this sense with David.
Also, while we only had David as a guide for 8 days, we spent another 6 days in Jerusalem on our own followed by a beach day in Tel Aviv before heading home. He generously gave of his time to ensure the itinerary on our own would accomplish all we desired to see and do. This included arranging for advance tickets to certain sites, reminding us to make reservations on Shabbat, recommending restaurants, best times to visit certain museums, etc. While we were in Israel, David made himself available for questions.
By the end of our tour, David felt like family.
Our trip has enhanced our faith, our knowledge of the holy land where Jesus walked, and our knowledge, love, and support for the state of Israel.
We highly recommend David!!

Our family of 10 just returned from a 10 day tour of Israel guided by David. We ranged in age from 10-70. Everyone had an amazing experience. David helped plan an itinerary that appealed to all the members of our group. He is easy to communicate with, both before and during the tour. It is evident that he works hard before you arrive to ensure everything runs smoothly. He is passionate and knowledgeable and makes the history come alive and relevant. Even though we were on a schedule, we never felt rushed. We couldn't imagine traveling through Israel without David. He is an amazing guide and we are already planning a return trip. If you are considering a private tour guide, stop thinking about it and hire David. You won't regret it.

Hired David for a private tour to visit the Sea of Galilee. He showed himself to be greatly knowledgeable about theology and showed deference to all religions who have shaped the culture of Israel. During our tour he was able to discuss the above with my husband and chat with me about the culture of local food, Jewish traditions and shopping for souvenirs. And David was able to keep his wits about him despite my husbands crazy driving:) we have the opportunity because of work to visit over the next year. David will be our guy!

I found David on TripAdvisor through his engagement with the forums as a destination expert and so thankful that I did! Through a stroke of good luck, he was available for the days that my wife and I were in Israel! We communicated by email multiple times discussing expectations, desires, etc. and he planned an incredible 3 day package to experience Jerusalem and Galilee! David is a gifted communicator and it’s an obvious asset to him as a guide. His storytelling (of facts!) is easy to follow, easy to remember and easy to engage with. We spent a lot of time with David and because of the ease of communication – it was nothing but pleasant! One thing that was extremely helpful, since David is originally “from” the US (but, after being with him – 100% Israeli), he is able to explain and describe everything in a way that was easily understood and important to us. It was extremely hot while we were there, but he was always able to find shade in the perfect spot and made sure that we had ample opportunities to stay hydrated. Lastly - I also went on a different tour in Jerusalem through my work while in Israel and, after that experience, I appreciated David even more! I was surprised at the lack of overlap in the tours – but that was due to the fact that David took us to a whole lot of hidden gems, panoramic views and focused areas that directly aligned with our desires. I honestly can’t recommend David enough and we are already strategizing our return to Israel and will definitely use David again!
