Interesting exhibit and very unique presentation with the cut glass, however, if you don't read hebrew, you don't get as much out of the glass. Movie at end is too hokey and kind of like Star Wars.

Layers of glass are used as a metaphor to represent a visual connection of Israels past history. Thousands of names are engraved in the glass that have formed and bonded the people over thousands of years. Visually beautiful but the narrative needs more focus on what the exhibition is trying to convey.

Beautifully done, but lacking any connection to the land. The glass cutting is spectacular and the idea is strong, but not worth a visit, unless you have seen everything and/or would like to have an indoor activity during bad weather.

As a Jewish American who is very pro-Israel, I found this display offered no new information and repeatedly bludgeoned the captive audience with a racial entitlement message. The Tunnels tour, by way of contrast, was incredible and an extraordinary experience. Compared to the videos I have seen recently created by the ministry of tourism, this was a bungling childish effort that made no attempt to educate.

I do am Jewish and I find this installation pretentious and boring. All the information they give to you might be interesting for Martians in case they will come to Jerusalem, but it is so trivial, and the glass structures are so absurd, that we may only pity, that huge money were wasted on trash instead of using it to some noble project.

the chain of generations center is officially a exhibit to connect this generation with history but since they don't offer any information besides that the jewish nation's patriarch's were abraham isaac & jacob and some weird glass ''art'' then all you get is a waste of time

Those of us who have celebrated Passover and said "Next Year in Jerusalem" every year and who have parents and grandparents who have longed to return to the land will appreciate this exhibit. If you allow yourself to enter into each of the glass exhibits as living in that time and experiencing the fear, tragedy, excitement and joy of each one as you see the names etched in the glass and remember the history, will be overcome emotionally with what the artist intended us to feel. The presentation at the end by the grandson of the Rabbi who perished in the Holocaust was the very best part. I couldn't stop crying when it was over. I felt the weight and longing of the generations in my soul as he broke through to the Western Wall for the very first time in the battle of 1967. I loved this exhibit and it's a great combination ticket with the Western Wall tunnel tour.

This quick little tour conveniently placed right by the Kotel puts into perspective the incredible link between Jews today and their ancestors of thousands of years ago, and how for THOUSANDS of years we've hoped and wished to return to Jerusalem. See the names we've passed down from generation to generation (Issac, Sarah, Jacob, Leah, Jonathan, David, etc) and hear their stories up until you reach the narrators own chilling account of his Grandfather surviving a Nazi death camp only to have his grandson years later help liberate the Kotel in the '67 war. You realize that their stories are OUR stories as the next link in this unbreakable and unbelievable chain of generations. "Next year in Jerusalem". Do this BEFORE you go to the Kotel - it will mean so much more. To the tour operators, PLEASE get the headsets fixed. I had a problem with mine but luckily it was my second time. This tour is too important to be screwed up by some faulty devices.

Very good site, entrance and exit at Western Wall plaza. Underground path with video presentation telling the history of the Jewish people and their connection to the city of Jerusalem throughout the ages.

This tour, held in the Old City, has you walk inside this exhibit in the dark and looking at strange stacks of green glass. There's a audio program, but it still didn't help much. Not worth the time or money.
