So much fun! We went early in the morning. Take the 2 Shekel train ride, get off at the top and walk back down. Some of the animals were playful while others slept in the shade. Truly a hidden spot in the middle of a big city. Bring a snack and some water. There are many shady trees to enjoy... More

The Layout of this zoo is absolutely great! it's not cramped and you can spend about 4 hours there without seeing anything twice. the little train will take you to the top of the zoo (cost about 70 cent - 2NIS) there is a nice lawn next to the water where you can picnic and enjoy the monkeys and flamingos.

The zoo is beautiful and easy to navigate. The animal habitats are often designed to let you get a really good view (and smell) of the animals. With some of the big cats behind glass, sometimes you're only a couple of inches away and they actually try to bite or paw you through the glass. There's also a playground with... More

The Jerusalem Biblical Zoo is truly a delight to visit. We went with kids ranging in age from 2-11, all of whom were besides themselves with excitement, as they planned out what they wanted to see on the map. It is very much an environmental zoo, with animals living in natural and wide open habitats.

I don't like zoos but my kids do. I am prepared to make an exception in this case - probably the best I have been dragged to! It has every base covered from the African Plains to a tropical house. It even has some penguins!!! First class day out with the kids. Gift shop staff could have been more helpful... More

Visited 2 years ago and our little grandson was just 2 yrs old but he loved it. This time was even better because he is now 4 yrs and was able to appreciate so much more. The map they give you on entry is very clear and we followed the suggested route taking in everything! It was brilliant to see... More

Located somewhat far from the city center, this is mainly an activity for those who've been to all the main sites in Jerusalem, or possibly- families with kids. That been said, it's certainly well planned and allows you great experience of wide selection of animals from around the world Some local installations like Noach's Ark do justice to the name...
