Old city of Jerusalem has such a beautiful scenery, especially when you have a look from the hill. Besides that, it contains so many historical events and buildings.

However you can feel the tension when you walk around here. Maybe the way it’s divided makes it feel that way, the police the way they walk around very intimidating.

I thoroughly enjoy wandering the narrow streets of Jerusalem’s old city. So much history. The shops are small and quaint with great variety. I always buy saffron when here.

I learned that the Old City walls contain 34 towers and 11 gates, seven of which are presently open. It was wonderful to see Damascus gate, The new gate, Jaffa gate, and Herod's and others.
