You will need to arrive early in the morning and wait in line. Ladies should plan to have scarves for covering their heads, and long modest clothing for both genders is recommended. Closed shoes to cover skin on feet as well may be preferred. They will not allow access to people with any religious symbols or words on their clothing... More

This is not a site to spontaneously decide you are going to visit. The hours change without notice, you need to be very cautious of how you dress especially if a woman. There are so many problems here that the guards are tense and rather aggressive. I have been here a few times and each time feel like I am... More

This is a must-see if you're interested in history, culture or religion. It's a fantastic place. I suggest you take a guide so you can get information you wouldn't get just from looking at it or reading a brochure.

I have been lucky enough to visit a number of Muslim holy sites and mosques in my time, and that includes Mecca, the temple mount is by far my favourite place to visit. In my opinion it one of most unique and atmospheric sites I have visited, the area acts more like a park and safe haven for the Arab... More

It's a shame that we can access the Temple Mount but only at the expense of ridicule by those "guarding" the area. Constant ridicule and even though we were allowed entrance initially, more than once, people in our group were asked to cover up more and more to be allowed to remain. And not in a nice manner. A shirt's... More

Our guide Rabbi Weiss informed us of the Mount's history in such a clear and concise manner, it made the experience of being on the Mount a privilege.

Long queues to get there. I thought that the opening hours on Sunday are up to 10:30 (it was written on the internet), but the info at the entrance said 10:00. I am not sure if they changed it for that day or if the last entrance is 30 mins. before the end of opening hours. We did not have... More

I don't recommend going here. They only allow muslims to enter. Such discrimination should not be supported.

You must be prepared to visit this site, proper dress, on time since it has limited opening hours. Once you are in it's a wonderful place and very peaceful. A must visit.

We had not read up on how to enter but when we finally got the location and timing right we were glad we visited and walked respectfully around the Temple Mount. Get to the line much earlier than you hope to get in. Be patient.
