Worst spa experience ever
Nov 2019 • Solo
I get a lot of massages and love to get them when traveling. 99% of massages I get are deep tissue and I always ask for deep pressure.

My experience sits as the worst massage I have ever had. I’m not actually sure the masseuse knew what he was doing. It seemed like he was making it up as he went. At one point he pinched my big toe incredibly hard - said it was a pressure point - well maybe it is a pressure point but he cracked my big toe nail and I’m now losing the entire nail.

The locker room is just bizarre - every surface is covered in mirrors so even if you turn to face your locker to change, your entire body is reflected.

Spa ambiance is terrible - and the Turkish spa which I had been excited about was terrible.

Save your money (and your toes).

The Hamam only works 20 percent of the time
The Hamam is a big selling point but it only works properly 20% of the time. Forewarned is forearmed do when you book you might want to ask about this. The hotel is quite nice however if you want a soothing Turkish Hamam as advertised you might be disappointed.

May 2019 • Couples
Very nice and helpful receptionist, facilities are very nice except I wouldn’t waste my money on the watsu pool, this oversized pool is neither a pool or jacuzzi, not hot enough I would say water was max 90 degrees and there was no bench to sit.
We had couples massage and I hate to say this because the masseuse were sweet but the massages were really not good.
Facilities are clean and staff the staff are all very nice.

The people there is so rude and everything is overpriced for what they offer, horrible experience not coming back for sure asking 120€ for going to a pool.

Perfect for body and soul relaxation
Dec 2018 • Couples
My wife and I went for her birthday celebration and it was amazing. We each received one hour massage and than get to enjoy the facilities, indoor pool, Turkish hamam (separated for men and women) relaxation rooms.
Everything was top quality, highly recommend

Not a great experience
Mar 2018
I was looking forward to my massage at Akasha, but the result was a disappointment. I booked a massage with a male therapist and it wasn't until he'd escorted me to the room was I told that I needed to wear underwear for the massage which seemed weird given that we were two guys. So I had to return to the locker room and do that. Then the therapist said that he'd like to do use cupping suction on my back and I asked if it would result in any bruising as I had a friend who'd been very bruised by this. He laughed and said that he was going to do it very quickly and it's only when a therapist leaves the cups on for ten minutes that bruising results. When I got back to my room to take a shower the back of my back looked like it had been in a car wreck; big purple welts from where he'd applied the suction cups. The following morning I was all bruised. I called the spa and was told "not to worry, the bruises will go away" and "this is what always happens, and it's part of the benefit." I told them that I'd explicitly asked before he started if there was any chance of bruising and was told there was not, and that now I look like I'd been in an accident. There was no attempt to apologize or offer any gesture for my bad experience. I cannot in good conscience recommend this spa.
