This was our second day in Israel touring with our guide, Mickey. It was a excellent full day tour of Jerusalem and Bethlehem with Guided Tours Israel. As she did on the previous day's tour to Galilee, Mickey did a wonderful job of giving us the history of each place that we visited and moving us from place to place so that we didn't miss any of the important sites. It was a very rainy day but we were still able to see and do everything as planned. I highly recommend Guided Tours Israel not only for the great tour that they planned for us, but for the price and communication before the tour that made the day go very well.

We had booked and prepaid (fairly priced) a tour from Haifa to Jerusalem from our cruise ship in April . Due to coronavirus we had to cancel the cruise and emailed GTI to request a refund. They responded within 24hrs that they would process the refund which was received within 2 days. This is a very difficult time for the travel industry but this company is obviously, as their advertising says an ethical family owned business. They have been responsive to emails since the beginning and we especially liked how detailed the description of their tour(s) are e.g. what to expect, and possible variations due circumstances.
When we reschedule our cruise to Israel GTI will definitely be our first email to arrange our tour(s).

My wife and I were on an Ancient Lands cruise and booked 5 days of shore excursions with Guided Tours Israel. We did Biblical Galilee, Acre-Rosh Hanikra, Jerusalem and Bethlehem and Dead Sea and Masada although most cruises don't schedule 5 days in port. You can find many reviews on Cruise Critic Forums and on this website and they live up to those reviews. First, email communication from GTI is always prompt and exhaustingly informative. You should not have any questions about where/when/what/how long/etc after reviewing all the instructions GTI provides. Vehicles and guides were excellent, while on the mini-buses you could hear clearly but while walking you need to stay close to the guides and pay attention. We believe there was great value in the shore excursions but be prepared as Israel traffic is tedious and if there are any accidents/delays it can take "hours" to get to Jerusalem or Masada. Our Dead Sea excursion was quite a surprise, it is a beautiful color of blue and while the tour states the changing facilities are "basic" it was totally acceptable and we thought quite satisfactory for a visit. Be prepared to walk and bring water. The only part of the excursions we would have changed is the trip to Bethlehem after the long trip to Jerusalem. We arrived late and the crowds were overwhelming at the Church of the Nativity and if possible I would ask to visit Bethlehem first?

We contracted with Guided Tours Israel to provide a 3 day Israel tour for 72 people in 2 buses with 4 experienced guides. We were promised the best guides because we booked it over a year in advance. However, the company overbooked tours for those dates and we received 1 experienced guide, and 3 guides who did not know the itinerary, could not manage time, did not wait for the tour participants at each stop to explain sites, and did not communicate well. One of the buses did not have a reasonable opportunity to get meals even with all day tours, and had to grab whatever snacks they could find. In addition, we had 2 bus drivers the first 2 days who were extremely unprofessional: yelling on their phone during the entire drives, stopping for gas, stopping to get food or drinks for themselves and eating while driving which is very unsafe, showing up very late one of the days for the tour, and late returning to the bus at some stops. The excuse that the owner of Guided tours Israel gave me for this was that they lost 80% of their guides and 90% of their bus drivers during COVID. Well if that was the case they should not have continued to book so many tours on the dates we booked a large group, and they should not have promised me their best guides which we deserved. Guided Tours Israel sacrificed the quality of our tours for their own profit and that is not something that is not acceptable. The owner did give one of our buses a partial refund which was less than we requested and thought was fair. However, it at least acknowledged the problems that I described with an apology. Each of our tour participants spent thousands of dollars on a Holy Land cruise only to have the visit to Israel ruined by Guided Tours Israel’s inexperienced guides and unprofessional bus drivers. I have organized hundreds of private tours from cruise ships, and 99% of them have gone very well. This one was a disaster and I do not trust this company to do what is best for the tour participants. I do not recommend you use them for these reasons.

We were on a cruise that had 2 days in Ashod and 1 day in Haifa and were part of a large private tour group. The 3 days were arranged well in advance with detailed information as to what we would see and do on those 3 days and included the promise of the best guides Guided Tours Israel offered.
This was a bucket list trip for us that we looked forward to for well over a year. The guides we had appeared inexperienced, did not have good time management skiills plus we did not have headsets so trying to hear/understand was next to impossible as the guides were way ahead of the group most of the time. We stayed too long in some places and were rushed in others and, for the most part, did not have much explanation.
Day 2 was Masada and the Dead Sea. Stopping on the way for gas delayed our arrival to Masada and then stopping at a viewpoint put our bus well bechind all the others to enter Masada. The guide then wanted us to go souvenir shopping at Masada and we said "no", we want to go up now as Masada was already very crowded. We had looked forward to "floating" in the Dead Sea but only had time to stick a toe or finger in due to poor time managment by the guides. This was to be a highlight and wasn't.
The bus driver was late to the port, late to bring us back and wasted our precious tour time filling the bus w/gas, buying snacks and not coming back to the bus when we were all onboard waiting. We sat in front and observed him yelling on the phone, eating while driving and even stopping the bus on the road to give something to a van that was next to us. All unprofessional and at time worrisome.
I do not recommend Guided Tours Israel for the above reasons. This was a once in a lifetime trip for us and was not what I had expected.

Again – the same group of 72 misled clients. They booked with Bill Netro Tours. He organizes shore excursions for cruisers and makes a fortune on these people. They DID NOT BOOK WITH US DIRECTLY. Only the agent booked with us – 1 person. We probably received one fifth of what his group paid him. He apparently promised them things we never agreed to, for example that we will use whisperers. We never agreed to it. For the price he paid us they received above and beyond what is reasonable. For the price they paid him – they must have had different expectations and we are sorry for their disappointment. We have a money back guarantee if you book with us directly and you will know in advance exactly what will be included in the tours. We are no longer taking large group bookings through a non-licensed agent. You should avoid this arrangement as well and book directly with the tour company so you know exactly what you will receive. Thank you for reading this response.

We had a 2 days of tours from Ashod and Haifa with the Guided Tours Israel and I have to rate our experience as average. Specially after talking with other people from our cruise ( Island Princess tours on November 6th and 7th) I realized that the others had better tours and experience. The main problem was with the detailed explanation. Our tour guide was nice but she only gave us overview of the sites and history and after that we were left wondering alone and trying to figure out what was what. She did not enter with us inside the churches and sites, we were not provided whispers so we could hear her in the crouds and the ammount of details was minimal. We were looking at other guides explaining what was important and what was significant about the site. This information is crucial when every place has a meaning and a lot of history behind it.
Also their vans are old and not functioning properly. In the 1st one the window blind was broken and I had to hold it manually to be able to see through the window. In the other one the AC was not working. It left us disappointed and therefore I will not recommend this company.

We had one day in Haifa port, and booked a private tour of Jerusalem and Bethlehem with Guided Tours for our family of 4 (including two teenagers). Leo provided excellent communication on what to expect and to be sure we had the tour we wanted. Our guide, Omri, was waiting for us in port and guided us through an amazing day. We first went to Bethlehem where our Palestinian guide took us to the Church of the Nativity, then back to Jerusalem with Omri. The tours from the ship weren't going into Bethlehem, so we were excited we got to see both. In Jerusalem we visited an overlook to get our bearings, then walked the four quarters of the old city. Omri was a wealth of knowledge - he kept everyone interested without being overwhelming, and made sure we got to see what interested us, along with pictures to remember the day. It was warm and he had plenty of water on hand for all of us. I was worried this would be too much to cover in a day, but it was perfect. We had enough time to see everything we wanted, enjoy lunch together with some dessert from Omri, do some shopping and get back to port in time to disembark. Would 100% recommend this tour.

Our tour thru Guided Tours Israel was perfectly curated!

Ryan was the perfect guide - offering information on the drive to Jerusalem all along the way giving us more insight into the history of the region.

Every question that we had, Ryan was able to answer. He was very well informed and aware of the history of all of the sites. His knowledge was impressive! At all times, we felt safe and in good hands with Ryan as our guide and Tarek as our driver. Ryan kept the tour moving and gave us the experience we had planned for.

We will definitely use Guided Tours Israel again and we can highly recommend them based on our personal experience.

We had a WONDERFUL tour (Jerusalem and Bethlehem day 1 & Masada and Dead Sea day 2). We truly enjoyed all our time with our guide Mickey. She is so full of life and history and she tells the story straight (maybe too straight at times ;) but we loved her and definitely will recommend Guided Tours Israel. Thank you so much for the experience of a lifetime.

We had two days in Israel. The first we docked in Ashdod and went to Masada and the Dead Sea. Masada itself was a pleasant surprise, it was at least as impressive as Egypt and Jordan that we had just visited. The Dead Sea was an experience and something that can now be crossed off the bucket list. Day two we were docked in Haifa and went to Jerusalem. The journey itself although not long took a fair amount of time due to the traffic but our guide rearranged the order so that we could see everything. We did indeed see everything on the list and it didn't feel rushed at all.
We were lucky enough to have Ryan as our guide on both days and I would highly recommend him. He has a lot of knowledge but doesn't go into too much detail. The organisation from the company was very good and the buses were clean and comfortable both days,
