Green Olive Tours has departures from Ramallah, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, & Tel Aviv. The company is a cooperative of Israelis and Palestinians, and is a social enterprise focusing on cultural and people-to-people experiences in Palestine an Israel, visiting religious and historical sites, villages, refugee camps, and off-the–beaten track locations.

Our guides are knowledgeable and illuminate the culture, politics and history of the Palestinian and Israeli people. Each day-trip is unique. You might find yourself having lunch with a Palestinian or Bedouin family one day, then meeting a Samaritan priest the next. We offer daily tours and multi-day experiences that include home stays in Bethlehem and Palestinian villages. Our tours benefit the local people.

I took the day tour from Jerusalem to Bethlehem and Hebron. It was amazing. I've travelled to Israel several times, and this tour is one of the best things I've ever done. The guide was very good. The tour was well organized. All felt easy and safe. I was grateful for this experience.

This is a toughie. I'm sure that they mean well, but the tours are all about how terrible they think Israel is and how victimized the "Palestinians" are. It's mostly nonsense really with no historical, logical or practical connection to reality. A little research will lead to who these people, especially Fred Schlomka, really are and where your money is... More

DeWayne W has never taken one of our tours. S/He has also trolled our blog with unpleasant comments which violated our terms of use. From his profile it looks like he has never travelled out of the USA. More

A revealing look at the Palestinian reality today in Greater Jerusalem, and some of the forces driving it. The tour seemed relatively even handed, the background information educational, especially the maps, and our guide knowledgeable, responsive to questions and committed to building a more complete understanding of this incredibly complex situation.

We had a most interesting day with our tour guide who not only gave us a lot of information but also was open for any question we had to understand more about this ongoing conflict without real hope for a quick solution. Especially impressive was the visit of one refugee camp with a wonderful and very successful center for cultural... More

Despite following the situation here for years I still had no idea what & where I could visit, how I could visit, how safe it would be, etc. But from the moment I had contact with Green Olive Tours (specifically Jehanne) I was excited at what I could visit and felt completely safe in their hands. I was staying in... More

While planning my trip to Israel, I decided I wanted to go to the Cave of the Patriarchs and Bethlehem at the end of the tour of Israel. Since both sites reside in the Palestinian controlled West Bank, I was a little hesitant at first but after reading the reviews here, I decided to go for it. I opted for... More

It was a great tour! We had two guides and both were great. Both of them did some behind the scenes on our behalf to make the tour even more enjoyable. The tour guides were very enthusiastic in offering the Palestinian perspective. We visited the Walled Off Hotel to see the museum and art exhibit which is worth seeing. It... More

I and my husband joined the tour with Green Olive Tours to Hebron and Ramallah. Our tour guide is ready 30 minutes before we start the tour. We really enjoy the tour with Mr. Muhammad, he knows very well the places and explained in details. We had lunch at the Palestinian family, the food so tasty. I met tourists while... More

My friend and I took a tour of city of david/silwan with Yaniv yesterday. He is a gifted teacher and guide. It was difficult to see beyond the layers of shinny new attractions and ahistorical hype and really learn about the complex political situation. I highly recommend it ...

Very worthwhile tour. Our guide was very personable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Not only did we get to see the historical and Biblical site, we had a chance to observe the annual Freedom marathon
