About
Shalom everyone. my name is Maya. I was born and raised in Jerusalem and am completely in love with it. Growing up here really influenced me a lot and made me fall in love with history and religions. I’m addicted to my work and love traveling around Israel. I feel that it’s more than just a job for me and I would love to share my passion for this land with you.

Maya was an amazing tour guide! Not only was she extremely knowledgable but she was also a fun, kind and easy-going person.
Maya was my busses guide on March of the Living (Poland and Isreal). In Poland (the start of our trip) she did a great job getting to know everyone on our bus and helping us get to know eachoer. Throughout our tour, she added to the standard information with additional sometimes personal stories that really added to the whole experience.
Out of the 6 busses on my trip, I felt Maya was the best guide. The program director who had been running this trip for over 15 years said Maya was one of the best guides she had ever had and the best guide in our year of the program. My trip on March of the Living was a few years ago more recently I went to Israel on Birthright when I ask my guide if he knew Maya he said Maya is a better guide than me.
Maya is an amazing guide and if you can I would highly recommend Maya to anyone booking a tour in Israel!

Maya was the most incredible guide and we can’t say enough positive things about her. She is truly an angel from heaven who guided our 10 person multigenerational family for 2 weeks and ensured we had the most meaningful and special experience. She is extremely knowledgeable and spiritual and her positive attitude and energy draws everyone in. She is extremely organized and is always thinking ahead to ensure the itinerary will best align with the group as well as for each individual. We absolutely loved our time with Maya and can’t wait to see her again soon!!

Maya was the tour guide for a teen March of the Living trip. We spent a week in Poland and a week in Israel. The group was diverse, With many teens nit knowing one another or the staff in advance. Maya did a masterful job of bringing the group together, knowing when to be serious and lighthearted with the group, how to work with very different personalities, and set the right stage for the content.
I have done this same trip before with other guides, as well as many many guided teen trips in Israel. Never have I had such a thoughtful guide as Maya. I would hire her for any group, teens, children, or adults.
Passing up a chance to spend time with her would be a huge loss to any group.

Maya is knowledgeable and fun. She has a unique talent for walking the fine line between rallying the troops and keeping everyone in good spirits, while being informative and approachable. She makes connecting with the location a unique personal experience for everyone. There were four tour buses on my trip, each with its own guide, and everyone knew Maya's bus was the bus everyone wanted to be on. Book now and relax knowing you're in good with hands with Maya.

Maya guided our 10 person multi-generation family trip through Israel this past December. The trip was amazing, and Maya was the key to making sure everything was just right! Her passion and knowledge for the state of Israel, engaging storytelling, and balanced perspective, made sure that everyone (from young kids to grandparents) learned a great deal throughout. Maya cared deeply that each one of us had the best trip and got the most of the experience. Always looking ahead, flexibly and creatively adjusting our plans when it made sense to do so. She is warm, caring, spiritual, positive, and has a fantastic sense of humour - if Maya happens to be available for your trip, consider yourself to be very lucky!!!

Maya is a great tour guide that is very knowledgeable about the history and lore about all of the areas that we visited. Moreover, she was very good at catering to each person in the group to make sure that everyone was entertained and enjoying themselves. For example, she could speak to the younger teens about the night life in Tel Aviv and then immediately flip around and speak to others about the emotional state of Israelis as they live in constant conflict. She also just has a wonderfully happy personality that is contagious and makes the whole tour so fun and smooth. Would recommend to anyone and everyone without hesitation!

Just when I thought Covid-19 had robbed me of my ability to travel, Maya Israel Tours took me out of my home and out of my head for an amazing hour-long virtual tour of Masada in Israel. With her signature humor and charm, Maya transported me from the same 4 walls I've been looking at since March into the world of Masada, a natural fortress thousands of feet above the Dead sea. Built by Herod, King of Judea, in the last century B.C., Masada became a fortress for the Jewish people when the ancient Romans overtook Judea in the first century A.D.
Maya brought her Zoom-tour to life with beautiful photos from her many tours in Masada, google maps, and really detailed, 3D visuals of the layout of Masada, and other well researched and prepared historical images.
But Maya goes way beyond mere details and historical data. Touring with Maya (whether in person or virtually) is a deeply spiritual experience. Maya always leaves you with something to think about in your own life. Everything Maya teaches leads to deeper contemplation. Without even realizing it (because she is so entertaining), Maya inspires you to connect what she's taught with your own life and your own values.
Maya Israel Tours is a gift to the world of travel. Maya herself is a gift to this world. She is a magnificent person with so much joy and passion to share. Treat yourself to a virtual tour with Maya Israel Tours.

I was lucky enough to be chosen to go on a trip to Israel with a group of early childhood educators. I was EXTREMELY lucky to have had Maya as my guide! Her passion, energy, and enthusiasm for Israel was contagious. She was thorough, informative, and eager to answer any and all questions asked. Maya’s ability to connect with each person on a personal and professional level made you feel welcome and comfortable. Her smile and positivity made each day the best. I HIGHLY recommend Maya as a tour guide so you could experience what myself and my colleagues did! :)

Maya was an amazing tour guide for our group trip to Israel. What made her so great was the combination of her positive energy, her wealth of knowledge, and her composure in the face of changing logistics. She made a lot of complex arrangements for our group seamlessly, including visits with host families for cooking lessons, myriad bus rides across cities, and small group experiences tailored to group members’ Interests. Maya did it all with a smile. She also is super passionate about what she does and is happy to go deep into historical details at the drop of a hat. I would highly recommend working with Maya for your trip to Israel, she’s an absolute delight and terrific at her job!

I cannot recommend Maya highly enough. She was an incredibly knowledgable and passionate guide, and was so genuine and vulnerable in her connection and love for Israel's historic sites. Her vivid storytelling and passionate recounting of Israel's history managed to take thousands year old stories and make them applicable to a group of American college students. She effortlessly facilitated thought-provoking discussions, fielded question after question, and was an absolute joy to be around every single day of our 2 week trip. Maya fit seamlessly into our group, and very quickly went from being our guide to being our friend and an integral part of our trip. Any group is lucky to have her!
