Yoav is passionate about Israel and has a deep knowledge of the country’s history and politics (he is like a walking Encyclopedia!). He is also an expert when it comes to all things food and wine. Most of all, he has a talent for finding a city’s hidden gems and sharing them, with many endearing stories and fun facts to go along with each. My family, including two children, travelled to Israel in 2019. We had such an incredible time with Yoav that we decided to go back, just my husband and I, to experience more of this special country with Yoav as our guide. He is smart, authentic, energetic and knows how to go with the flow while at the same time being highly organized and on top of things (the latter part in collaboration with his wife, Nitsan, who is a master planner!). I can’t recommend Yoav enough as a guide for anyone looking for a custom itinerary that is well thought out and different from the norm. Our trip was unforgettable and we have Yoav to thank.

Our group of 2 spent a day touring the "Shefla" area of Israel with Yoav last week. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, in large part because of Yoav's knowledge of the area, his enthusiasm and his talent as an educator and a storyteller.
Yoav met us at our hotel in Tel Aviv at 9am and we toured Beit Guvrin National Park and its Maresha Caves, Adulam National Park and its beautiful rolling hills, poppy fields and agricultural sites and the Elah Valley, the site of David & Goliath's epic battle. To finish off the day, we visited Agur Winery and Flam Winery and tasted their current offerings. We returned to Tel Aviv a bit after 5pm.
Yoav is a consummate pro and we would give him our highest recommendation as a tour guide for our itinerary as well as other sites throughout Israel.

Wow!! What an experience!! Yoav is a master tour guide that brings his high energy to tell you the story of Israel. He not only tells the story but makes the history come alive as if you are experiencing it in the moment. He combines the past with the present and explains everything so clearly through fun story telling. He took us through the old city of Jerusalem and the Machane Yehuda market with a mixed group of Israelis and foreigners of different religions. He can adapt and connect with different groups. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows all the unique spots that you would never know about. He is very attentive to each person in the group making sure all their needs are met as well. He is passionate and will give you the best experience you can get. I highly recommend Yoav, he is an amazing person!

We did 2 trips with Yoav In Jerusalem and Tsfat/Caesarea and both were incredible.
Yoav is a different animal. He combines history and facts with
different angles of looking at situations.
He brings a wealth of knowledge,
excitement and passion that has to be experienced to every trip and
gives it 100%!
He is definitely not your run-of-the-mill guide. He provides colour and insights and his enthusiasm is contagious.
A full day passes so quickly and leaves you wanting more…
We were flabbergasted by the knowledge this man was dropping and the way he was doing so.
On the culinary side this Yoav Is A MASTER and knows the best
spots ensuring you will have the most authentic experience and avoid all tourist traps.
I highly recommend if you want
something different with memories lasting a lifetime, book him ASAP.

Fabulous few days with Yoav - insightful, knowledgeable and thoughtful.
Balancing a varying age range with facts and stories to keep everyone engaged whilst also sharing personal tales.
Restaurant recommendations and food advise were spot on - definitely experienced some incredible dishes we would never have known about.
Also didn't miss the photo worthy stops and encouraged many memories to be captured.
Fully recommend! Thank you!

Even the highest rating of five is not enough to express the amazing time we had with Yoav! A group of us went from my law school, and we cannot stop raving about this incredible man. Yoav is a gifted educator and guide, not only because he knows so much information, but because of the engaging and captivating way in which he shares that information with us. Despite his extensive knowledge, he always maintained a posture of humility and an openness to learn even from us - this is a major part of why he is the best, because he is committed to learning more and more. There was a never a boring moment with Yoav. He is intelligent, kind, hilarious, and full of passion. He is sincere and has a warmth about him that is undeniable, and I know that his good favor with people also extended to us and allowed to have such a great trip. What I also found special was the way he helped us connect with Israel not just intellectually, but spiritually and personally as well - he did not just connect our minds, but our hearts. He is well versed in the various cultures and religions that find their home in this region, and in the rich history - we all learned SO much with him. Beyond this, he would take time to lead us activities / discussion that prompted us to grow and see the greater meaning beyond the facts and dates ... he cared about imparting something that would allow us to grow in our own personal journeys, not just in our head knowledge. To add, he tackled even the most prickly controversial topics with grace and dexterity. This is only person I'd want as my tour guide!! And I look forward to part two next time I go. 11/10 recommend

Yoav is, quite simply, a master - of history, of food, of culture, and of storytelling. He guided my family and I on a day tour of the Old City in Jerusalem, and made the visit at once deeply relevant to today’s current events, deeply historical, deeply relatable, and deeply personal. Yoav combines his mastery of the afore-mentioned elements of history and storytelling to make every stop understandable without dumbing down any of the complexity. He weaves his mastery of food and culture like threads on the tapestry of the mutiple cultures that live in Old Jerusalem.
Yoav is an experience not to be missed. If you are able to get time with him, book it. You will be rewarded, and your trip will be that much richer for it.

What was a mere 10 days, seemed like 3 months, as Yoav took us through thousands of years of history, through the sacred texts of multiple religions, the family stories of multiple tribes and ethnicities, and told us his story of Israel.
You will take the best pictures, see the best sites (at the best times), get the best explanations, learn the best tidbits, and get the best recommendations.
Yoav is deeply intimate with the texts of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism and is extremely capable at illustrating the tensions and explanations of the complex and rich histories of the land of Israel. He is also well read outside of the Middle East and able to draw alliterations such to other historical figures and events in order to illustrate his thoughts.
If you are considering Yoav for your trip, just stop here and look no further. I consider myself a seasoned traveler but for a trip like Israel, having a guide like Yoav is not only a must, but selecting one with a broad perspective truly defines the trip as enlightening.

We have been to Israel multiple times; generally speaking, the Israeli tour guides are great. However, Yoav Biller is EXCEPTIONAL. He is a walking encyclopedia. His love for Israel is evident, and he has an amazing ability to engage and teach all generations. We are a family ranging in ages from 10 to 79; nobody got bored or tired listening to Yoav. He made the trip meaningful and fun. In fact our 10 year old said she already misses him. It was hard to say goodbye. We will definitely contact him for our next trip. Highly recommended!!!

Yoav is an amazing guide. He was patient and passionate while leading us (28 students and 3 teachers) through many religious sites. He told us the stories of each site like Jaffa, Nazareth, Capernaum, in a way that was interesting and easy to understand.
He gave us a lecture to explain the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that we American students were able to digest. And he presented the conflict and many other stories without bias. He looks to understand all narratives throughout history. He was curious about us students, and open to sharing about himself as well. He learned all of our names very quickly. And after just 4 days with Yoav, many of us students feel like we found a family member in Israel.
He is not only knowledgeable about history however. He had great food and club recommendations. If we were ever curious about where to go or how to get there, Yoav had an answer for us.
I will miss him dearly. And when I have the chance to come back to Israel, I will definitely try to see him. If he’s available for your trip, book him!
