My family and I looked for a great activity to do for the rainy day we had two days ago and found this gem. All the reviews were great and decided it would be a cool idea for the whole family. Long story short, it WAS!!! My two boys ages 4 and 7 had an awesome time and so did my wife and I. The whole building your own mezuza and decorating it was fun and enjoyable to do. I would reccomend it to everyone. Uri (the instructor) was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable during the whole process.

Big Fan!!!

This mezuzah making activity is great for all ages and genders. I took a 5 year old and 18 year old and they both loved the activity. We learned some background about the mezuzah and then got to create our very own case to take home. It was a fun filled afternoon and I highly recommend this activity on your next trip to Israel.

This was fantastic fun for the entire family. We visited with kids ranging in age from 2 to 17, as well as adults. All had a great time, and Uri was so patient and engaging getting everyone involved.
Highly Recommend!

We absolutely love love loved this activity.
Uri brought the Mitzvah of Mezuzah to Life for us.
Uri was so kind and encouraging and taught us how to chisel and sand our mezuzah cases. We really enjoyed every part, especially decorating and painting our cases. This activity is a MUST if you want to make your trip to Israel meaningful.

I had so much fun at this workshop. The wood-shop is just outside Jerusalem. Easy to get to by bus or car.

I was with friends, there was also a family with younger kids.

We learned so much about wood and the history and meaning of mezuzas.

Uri Kalfa is a warm and patient teacher who took us through a workshop to make our own mezuza. It was my first time creating something out of olive wood!

This is an off-the-beaten-path activity for an Israel trip and I highly recommend it.

We had a great time and made beautiful mezuzot. We did think we would be working on the wood more, but we still enjoyed the workshop and would definitely recommend it.

We enjoyed sanding and preparing our wood and then decorating it in our own unique designs. Uri made a nice presentation about the mezuzah and its role in Jewish life.

We were 3 - with all different levels - 16 year old woodworker loved talking shop with Uri and playing with the wood a bit. The 14 year old and I - both different levels - enjoyed the explanations of the process of Mezuzah as well as hands on making them. Finally we enjoyed using our creativity to make Mezuzot of our own. This is a great activity for the family and children at least old enough to use some hand tools.
