I highly recommend Shai as a guide as he is personable, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the areas and history of the Land. Ours was an unconventional tour of the borders near Gaza, Lebanon and Syria as well as Jerusalem, which made for fascinating information and perspectives about this nation and its people. But he provided facts and not his own opinions, which left our large group with information to ponder on our own. A welcomed breath of fresh air among tour guides! Shai is above the best of guides. You will not be disappointed.

We were a Christian church group of 40+ who came to see the holy land. We all agreed that we were so blessed to have Shai as our guide. He made history come alive. He made us think and understand how archaeology enhanced our knowledge of the scriptures. He never forced an opinion, but always offered thoughts as to what something we were seeing might mean to us. He was always patient and gracious, answering questions, adding humor, and sincerely caring if we were getting out of our trip all we had come to see and do. Without reservation, I would recommend Shai to anyone hoping to learn about how what you see in Israel makes a difference in your understanding and faith. Anyone who has been on a tour with Shai will recognize my one best adjective to describe Shai: Fan-tas'-tic!!

My wife and I were in Israel and Jordan on a tour with Governor Mike Huckabee and decided to stay in Israel for 3 extra days afterwards. Shai designed a 3 day tour for us based on the additional places and things we wanted to see and it was perfect in every way. He is most enjoyable to be with and his knowledge of history and religion is amazing. On our first day, he took us to the ancient port of Akko for a walking tour and then to Haifa to see the Bahai Gardens. On day two, he took us back to Jerusalem and Bethlehem to visit sites that we didn't have time to see on the other tour. He is licensed to go into Bethlehem, unlike most Israeli guides, and has good contacts there. On the last day, we enjoyed a walking tour of Jaffa and Tel Aviv. Shai's ability to tie historical and biblical facts and events together makes him not only a great guide, but an extraordinary teacher as well. He introduces unique and thought provoking perspectives. It is understandable that he is invited to lecture in the US multiple times per year. Shai is most accommodating and fun to be with. He provided a first class experience and we highly recommend him to anyone visiting Israel. Grab him while you can and if you're at all hesitant about gong to Israel, don't be. Wow! What an awesome way to participate in such an important Remembrance Day. Full of history and personal experience, with intriguing stories of a family that not only survived the holocaust, but became a foundational family in the re-birth of a nation and the growth of Israel today. Hear personal experiences of what its like growing up as a third generation holocaust survivor and how the horrors and triumphs of the past still shape the lives of subsequent generations today.
You think you’ve heard it all before about the holocaust, but I’d highly recommend you listen to this personal story, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised, challenged and thought provoked as you realise again, every life story is unique and precious.
Can’t wait to see future virtual tours offered.
Shai never disappoints and always captivates his audience giving you life long memories to cherish.

Shai was an amazing tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, personable and efficient. I went with a group of Christian college students and he taught us an enormous amount about our faith and his country. I feel very lucky to have had him as a tour guide and I would highly highly recommend.

Shai did an outstanding job guiding a bus load of children of varying ages, parents and grandparents . He is incredibly knowledgeable and interesting . While sharing an incredible amount of information with us, his additional focus was on keeping us safe. Shai is great with all audiences; he is patient -- and caring about every tour participant.

This was our first "tour group" trip to Israel and we are beyond amazed at how wonderful and informed our guide Shai was!His expertise and familiarity went way beyond what we imagined. He was the "Cream of the Crop" and covered all the bases and then some when we visited each site! His good natured attitude and sense of humor lent itself to our group and we had the most wonderful time with him. We highly recommend him as a guide and frankly, can't imagine touring with anyone else!

My wife and I visited Israel in March from the UK to see family and friends and we wanted to take a day out to go on a trip with a wildlife guide.
I'm a wildlife photographer and my wife enjoys the natural world so after some online research I booked a professional guide to take us to
some hot spots. Unfortunately we were let down by the guide with a couple of days to go. Luckily our nephew is a licensed tour guide in Israel
and phoned Shai Tours, one of his contacts, to see if another guide could step in. After a couple of hours Shai let me know that a guide was available
on the date we wanted to go. We agreed a price and I was promptly contacted by Avner Muller who is a licensed tour guide and a wildlife expert.
Perfect! Avner collected us from our Tel Aviv hotel at 6:30am in his luxury vehicle and took us to the Beit She'an area, Lake Galilee and the Hula Valley.
He returned us safely to our hotel at 8:30pm. We saw some great wildlife and I got some really nice photographs. In between wildlife sightings Avner
kept us entertained by telling us about the history of the area that we were driving through and pointing out historical landmarks on the way. We had
a first rate lunch stop and coffee breaks - Avner also brought herbs from his garden and made us tea using his portable stove! We could not have
had a nicer guide and one who was so knowledgeable and we had first rate service from Shai Tours by hooking us up with Avner on the date we wanted
even though Shai was working in Hawaii at the time,

In March 2020 my family and I took a trip to Israel. I have been to Israel before but this was the first trip for my wife and three teenage children.
I cannot speak highly enough of Shai Nahon and his associates.
Before our trip, I did not have a good idea on what activities would work well for our family. My children have different interests and temperaments. Shai presented me with an excellent variety of options and budgets. We spoke about our family goals for this trip. It did not take long to pick an itinerary which suited our family and budget.
I would have expected our budgetary constraints to compromise our hotels, but the hotels we stayed at were wonderful. The Israeli breakfast in all the hotels was an unexpected bonus, especially the hotel in Tel Aviv. The hotel in the Galilee was spectacular and the hotel in Jerusalem elegant and beautiful.
I have been to Israel before so I did not expect to learn that much, but was I every wrong! We had a fantastically knowledgeable guide, Avi, who somehow was also able to relate very well with our three teenage children, no small feat! Avi seemed to know people everywhere, which added depth and perspective to the trip. Avi is also a talented artist. The activities were fun, fascinating, engaging, varied, and dare I say it, also educational. They were well chosen for our family.
Part of the itinerary included stops at various restaurants. The restaurants were casual but the food was fantastic. The restaurant at Acco will be a life long family memory. Keep in mind, though, that the food is extra so keep a separate budget for meals.
Unfortunately our trip coincided with the emerging Covid 19 pandemic. Towards the end of the trip there were some tense moments returning to Canada. Shai really stepped forward at this time. He was available, calm, and helped us navigate through some pretty chaotic times. He helped us secure a return flight to Canada when the airline industry was thrown into chaos.
Again, Shai was helpful to us at every stage of this trip. It was clear throughout our travels that Shai is a very well respected tour operator in Israel. The smaller hotel operators who know Shai personally speak of him in glowing terms. He knows many important religious leaders in Jerusalem. A tour with Shai is very much an "insider's" look into Israel. I highly recommend Shai Nahon ecological tours.

We had the privilege of having Shai as our tour guide for the 2019 Associated Jewish Federation Family Mission. Shai was beyond stellar. In addition to his wealth of information, his tone, warmth, patience and ability to read group, truly made him a top guide. He connected in a meaningful way with so many participants and everyone is excited to see him at our reunion in April. I highly recommend Shai for small groups, large groups and everything in between. You will not be disappointed!!

Hello, I'm going to Israel on December 12 and I'm interested to buy your tour, however I heard that the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum and the Jordan river may be closed in some dates of December. Do you know something about that? Or can I go on and book your tour? Thank you,
