Shai arranged an amazing week-long trip to Israel for our multi-generational family, and we couldn't have been happier. He listened and understood our needs and preferences, and put together a program that catered to the children as well as grandparents in our group, and to their diverse interests. He arranged for a guide who was a great fit our group, in terms of his knowledge, experience and personality. He checked in with us on a regular basis to make sure everything was going smoothly, and took the time to meet us in person along the way, even though he wasn't our guide. He ensured that we had an opportunity to engage with Israel, its people and history on a deeper level, for which we were very grateful--he is not just an experienced tourist guide, but an ambassador for Israel, who wants to show visitors his country with all its diversity, beauty, challenges and contradictions. We could not have been happier and would return to him for our next trip to Israel without hesitation.

In March 2020 my family and I took a trip to Israel. I have been to Israel before but this was the first trip for my wife and three teenage children. I cannot speak highly enough of Shai Nahon and his associates. Before our trip, I did not have a good idea on what activities would work well for our family. My children have different interests and temperaments. Shai presented me with an excellent variety of options and budgets. We spoke about our family goals for this trip. It did not take long to pick an itinerary which suited our family and budget. I would have expected our budgetary constraints to compromise our hotels, but the hotels we stayed at were wonderful. The Israeli breakfast in all the hotels was an unexpected bonus, especially the hotel in Tel Aviv. The hotel in the Galilee was spectacular and the hotel in Jerusalem elegant and beautiful. I have been to Israel before so I did not expect to learn that much, but was I every wrong! We had a fantastically knowledgeable guide, Avi, who somehow was also able to relate very well with our three teenage children, no small feat! Avi seemed to know people everywhere, which added depth and perspective to the trip. Avi is also a talented artist. The activities were fun, fascinating, engaging, varied, and dare I say it, also educational. They were well chosen for our family. Part of the itinerary included stops at various restaurants. The restaurants were casual but the food was fantastic. The restaurant at Acco will be a life long family memory. Keep in mind, though, that the food is extra so keep a separate budget for meals. Unfortunately our trip coincided with the emerging Covid 19 pandemic. Towards the end of the trip there were some tense moments returning to Canada. Shai really stepped forward at this time. He was available, calm, and helped us navigate through some pretty chaotic times. He helped us secure a return flight to Canada when the airline industry was thrown into chaos. Again, Shai was helpful to us at every stage of this trip. It was clear throughout our travels that Shai is a very well respected tour operator in Israel. The smaller hotel operators who know Shai personally speak of him in glowing terms. He knows many important religious leaders in Jerusalem. A tour with Shai is very much an "insider's" look into Israel. I highly recommend Shai Nahon ecological tours.

His heartfelt desire to serve our group's interests with the utmost detail and respect was evident every day and in every encounter. We truly enjoyed his company as well! I would highly recommend Shai's services.

The virtual tour was amazing. Shai told us the story of his family during the holocaust, which was just one example of what the Jews went through. His personal experience with his grandparents gives us some knowledge, from a personal perspective. I hope Shai will conduct other virtual tours on other matters as well. Thanks Shai.
